Hello, Can You Help Me With Radio Code Of Audi A6 Using Car Vin Number(WAUBH64B51N136898)? I Can't See Radios Serial Number...thanks?
I need to unlock my radio on 2001 Audi A6. I do not have radios serial number, I could not remove radio. Can you help me unlock that with vin number? Before car dealerships was doing this for free, now they are asking too much... Thanks
hi I NEED THE RADIO CODE
I just posted a solution for this problem. It comes straight from the radio manual. The dealer should have told you this. If you want him to do it he'll charge money for his time. IF YOU LOST YOUR CODE. THE DEALER CAN HELP YOU OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE:

Just purchased a 2002 audi a6 and am having trouble finding the gas tank button
There is no button to open the gas door from the inside of the car. As long as the doors are unlocked, you should be able to push in the far right side of the gas door and the left side will pop open. I too spent hours looking for this non existent button..I went as far as to going back to the car dealership.

radio has stopped working, but the panel on the radio stays lit in red when the car is turned off,( the little light items on the radio which would normally go on when the lights are turned on. it is an audi radio) It does not say 'safe' on the display. Not sure if I have the code if it is the fuse, its my sons car and not here at the moment.
For Audi A6 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
The fuse for the radio is no.# 37 fuse: F37 (20A - yellow colour). See picture below:
There is a second fuse on the back of the radio, (10A - red colour), but you have to pull the unit to check & change it. This is only course of action. You need special Audi radio extracting tools, (two radio keys).
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for yours Audi Concert radio from the car manufacturer! For Audi Concert the sequence of programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit.
4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. 5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit.
6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

Have purchased second hand 2002 Audi A6 with no owners manual. I would like to know how to adjust the clock settings.
Hi,
I have the same car, and also don't have a manual. I found out to set the clock, pull lightly on the dial in front of the display. The display will blink and all you need to do is twist slightly to set time, date, etc. Hope this helps! How do you love it so far??

Of its own accord the radio just stopped functioning, the screen retained its colour red but would not display any detail. I cannot turn it off or on & am worried that it is draining the battery
i) fuse box for the audi A6 is most probably on the right side close to the driver;s seat by the steering wheel. The driver door must be open to access the fuse box. Please check owner's manual. ii) in the 2002 Audi A6 it is fuse #37. Please check owner's manual. iii) remove the fuse for the radio then replace fuse. iv) start the engine v) the radio most probably will reset it self but you should not have to enter the security access code for the radio. let me know how the works. thanks

My 2002 Audi A6 with 3.0 has the following codes diagnostic codes: 16408 =Camshaft Position Actuator B Bank 2, Timing Over-Advanced 16684 =Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected 16689 = Cylinder 5, Misfire Detected 16805 =Warm Up Catalyst Bank-1, Efficiency Below Threshold 16815 = Warm Up Catalyst Bank-2, Efficiency Below Threshold I think the catalyst errors may be caused by the misfires sending unburned fuel into the exhaust. The previous owner had recently changed the timing belt and the car ran good when I bought it. I think the problems may be related to the camshaft actuator or the cam sensors. Just my 2-cents. Any help appreciated.
1. Check and replace if necessary the Camshaft Position Actuator B Bank 2. Bank 2 is the left side cylinder block bank, (driver's side for LHD vehicles). Also see if the variable camshaft mechanism movement is all right, and nothing can block it. The codes 16408 and 16684 must be eliminated definitely!
2. Then test the engine. If the code 16689 = Cylinder 5 - misfire detected, still occurs, check the spark plug, ignition coil and injector. Replace bad piece(s). The code 16689 must be eliminated definitely!
3. The codes 16805 = Warm Up Catalyst Bank-1, Efficiency Below Threshold, and 16815 = Warm Up Catalyst Bank-2, Efficiency Below Threshold, are caused by the misfires sending unburned fuel into the exhaust, and will be erased from Engine Control Module memory.
Test the car and send me back if everything is OK, or if any DTC code still remains.
Good Luck!

I have an Audi A6, the central locking has stopped working on the drivers door only. I can even open the door with the key although the button moves slightly as if it is trying to open. I am having problems with my central locking. I drive an Audi A4 1.9 TDi. Year 2002. Tne drivers door will not lock on the button, but all other doors will. The only way i can lock this door is physically putting the ket into the door to lock it. This will lock and open my door only. With this problem, the elec mirrors and windows fail to work either. Sometimes if i banged the drivers closed it would lock on the key button as normal, but not presently. I have tried both keys and same result. Can you possibly diagnose this problem for me or do you feel it is a major problem. Thanks Gavin.
More than likely your front driver door module has failed. You will need to replace this module and readapt the key fobs for locking and unlocking
