It is located inside the transmission it may be able to be tested from the connector on the side of the transmission though if you have the SDC code for the sensor it will be g-something like G182 for example and looking it up on the wiring diagram for the transmission.

Faulty door status switches (integrated in the door lock) or hood switch. hard to figure out which ones are bad without a diagnostic tool

Bad earth maybe....have you tried a multimeter on the connectors with the ignition on and indicator switch on??

Likely water damage to the central comfort control module, which is (stupidly) located under the carpet. Run a VCDS (RossTech) scan to verify this.

Sometimes the issue is with the mechanical vacuum pump off to the side of the ABS/ESP module. It looks like a round silver canister. This issue is all over Google with many possibilities but the one I copied is most common.

Either a fuse problem or could be a twist in the electrical cable in the door joint . Sometimes chafes the outer core away and causes shorts in stuff like this .

Im not looking to spend alot of money. Impossible with an Audi. Factory shocks run about $1,000 each. Now is not the time to be worrying about money. Shud have done that BEFORE you bought a German car.

Test new compressor. It may also be faulty, new or not.

I only have the 2000 diagrams, and they do not have memory. Does your model save settings for different keys? If your system is the same as the 2000 diagram below, I would replace the switch. If you have a memory module, I would replace the memory module.

From the test you made you definitely have a fuel delivery problem. You need to check, in that order, Fuel pump, fuel lines for blockage, injector pulse the the injectors themselves. Plugging the car to VCDS could easily identify fuel pump and injector problems.

Oil into coolant is almost always cylinder head gasket problem. Sometimes head cracked, Check if head is "tourqued" correctly. If it is remove and do a top overhaul.

Dear Frances, The way you have described the symptoms, you have a stuck thermostat or a blown head gasket. You should not even drive the car to the garage to be checked, it should be towed before the engine self-destructs. Sorry. God bless your efforts.
