I think that if belt is wore out that the tensioner wont be to far behind it or the reverse if you change tensioner the belt cant be far behind , and its not something you want to go back in and do over in a few thousand miles .I hope this was helpful. Woody

yes a new belt should have a new tension other wise they cant guarantee the belt will last another 90k miles because in the old tensioner loosing tension and possibly damaging the new belt

A tensioner will generally outlast only one timing belt, Longa, and it's a lot cheaper (for YOU) to change both at the same time than it is to open the engine twice - once for the belt, and again later for the tensioner.

Hi

It is fitted to the air filter outlet hose (the one which goes from the air filter to the turbo) and it is quite literally right next to the air filter. It has a wiring plug to it.

When an LCD panel goes completely dark, it is either because it got too hot or because the membrane leaked. Has to be replaced... sorry.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Audi A4 2.0L sport, year 2002, the mechanic advised me that this was to due to the cranckshaft sensor being faulty, once he changed this all was good.
