New spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new

I know you list a new distributor, but the pick up coil (inside the distributor) is what will trigger the coil for spark. Located under the rotor, it needs to be checked at the harness for voltage (key on) and measure resistance in the PU coil itself using an ohm meter. Check the harness for breaks or damage, there really is nothing else that might cause this unless you have a complete failure in your engine computer (located next to the battery).

Radiator fan doesnt spin is it the motor or wires?

Is that what you ask a repair shop?

You have to test things to find the causes

Unplug the motor & put 12v to it
It is a dc motor & will run either direction,
so you can't hurt it.

Cranking but not starting, sounds like not getting

Hi.

Replace fuel filter, spark plugs and air filter.

Be sure that fuel is getting to the injectors. Fuel pressure can be read by using a fuel gauge ( like this: Fuel Pump Vacuum & Pressure Tester) in the apposite port on the fuel rail.

If there is a problem with fuel, check pump, pressure regulator and lines. Relays.

Check if there is spark. A way to do this is by unplugging one of the high voltage wires that go to the spark plug and listening to the difference in engine sound and performance. If the spark plug connector is placed near to the engine block (which is grounded), you will also see the spark.

If there is no spark, then ignition coil and rotor must be checked.

Check if there is voltage to injectors. If there is no power to injectors, problem is PCM or wiring.

Check the MAF sensor and the vacuum system. A defective sensor or a vacuum leak may result in wrong mixture and the engine may not start.

Common failure causing no start in this car is either fuel pump or crankshaft position sensor. I think problem is one of the two.Check both of them properly.

Regards

Ginko.

How do I change the front cv axle on a 1987

Remove the wheel, the brake caliper, and the brake rotor.

Remove the large spindle nut that comes through the center of the wheel bearing assembly.

Remove the bolts (usually 3 or four) holding the wheel bearing assembly on. You can access them usually through holes that are in the spinning part of the wheel bearing assembly in between where the lug nut studs come through)

Sometimes you need a wheel puller to get it off ones the bolts are out, but not always. They can be a chore. My advice is to rent the wheel puller from auto zone.

the CV half shaft should be loose now, just yank it out.. pop the new one in making sure that it seats completely and firmly.. then reverse the order to put it all back together, and done.

Good luck

Change starter on 1987 plymouth sundance

a rachet with extension... i think the bolts will be 13 or 14 mm. unhook the battery first. there are two bolts holding the starter on. remove those two bolts and pull the starter. do NOT remove the wires till you have the replacement starter in hand. transfer the wires one at a time from the old starter to the new one. reinstall the starter with the two bolts and hook up the battery when it is done.... should start with no issues.

87 Plymouth Sundance keeps stalling!

If you take the air intake hose off at the throttle body inlet, and when it won't start, try spraying WD-40 into the front of throttle body, with plate open, and then try again. If it starts for a second or 2, it's fuel related problem. Try that and let me know the results, and get back to me. Use the WD-40 same as you would quick start spray. What engine is in that , 6 cyl, or 4 cyl. ?

My 87 plymonth sundance will start but will not

There is a transmissions connecter on the front of the trans. there is a 8mm bolt down the center. remove that then try and put into gear. or there is a trans computer you can dissconnect. i think the pack is eaier to remove.

these have common problems. this is just an easy try to see what the problem is.

Also chek the basics like trans fluid first. make sure to use ATF+4 fluid only on dodge vehicles.

let me know,
Michael
