1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Negative battery cable
   • Oil dipstick tube
   • Front wheels
   • Front skidplate, if equipped
   • Steering gear
   • Front differential, if equipped, 4wd
   • Lower oil pan
   • Oil pickup tube bracket
   • Radiator outlet pipe
   • Upper oil pan and oil pickup tube

installed

1. Install a new O-ring to the lower crankcase.
2. Apply a bead of silicone sealant to the upper oil pan flange.
3. Install or connect the following:
   • New oil pump pickup tube O-ring seals
   • Upper oil pan and oil pump pickup tube and tighten the fasteners as shown
   • Radiator outlet pipe
   • Oil pickup tube bracket
   • Lower oil pan. Tighten the bolts to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm).
   • Front differential, if equipped
   • Steering gear
   • Front skidplate, if equipped
   • Front wheels
   • Oil dipstick tube
   • Negative battery cable
4. Fill the crankcase to the correct level.

great question, scan the OBD1 dash port for Tranny errors first.>???????? car really is a re-badged Daewoo Lacetti ended 2008 USA,this car. no engine told and that tells tranny there, 2.0L engine? The US model line features the 2.0-liter four-cylinder D-TEC made by General Motors,?????? transmission code 4HP16 F13 fuse IP box blown is TCM fuse F2 also same box. no country told. no VIN told most cars the TCM was moved into the ECM and now called PCM so most cars have no dedicated TCM at all, now. except for some diesels or CVT odd transmissions, options why not just pretend to buy it at Suzuki online the uSA service manual shows a real TCM there and CAN_bus networked the ECM found it. in shop manual top dwg is tranny actual. at PnP switch, engine bay. silly suzuki cant show where front is. for sure dwg 2 below.

QOD, questions of the day. 1: does it start with 5% (a tad) right foot held throttle? other causes EGR stuck wide open ,if it has one. IAC stuck closed as all suzuki love to do. gummed up, clean it. that is all there is no engine told at all. nor county told. EFI and smog parts NOT the same world wide !! are spark plugs 14 years old ? oops that be wrong. and HV spark wire sets if so fitted there.

no year car told or country told. when it BEEPs use a scan tool to see why with DTC errors i might be low fuel warning but is just a wild guess. if one gauge reads wrong I may beep not MPH but RPM. , fuel , engine temps too high, or Odometer data is wrong, or corrupted a door ajar

no engine told at all or country. sold all over earth, with many engines sued. cracks happen for 2 reasons overheating the engine or using only water for engine coolant, in winter , it turns to ICE cracks the engine block and heads in 1/2 total destruction easy as pie done wrong. recalls, TSB pages USA car, at the makers TSB pages , 1 hit only on word CRACK quoted: TS 35 12103, Special Coverage Extension for Specific Crack(s) in the Cylinder Head SPECIAL COVERAGE EXTENSION FOR SPECIFIC CRACK(S) IN THE CYLINDER HEAD. The engine coolant may leak from the cooling jacket into the Camshaft Housing of the Cylinder Head. There will be no external coolant leak and there will likely be evidence of coolant contamination in the engine oil. CAUSE: Suzuki has determined that certain 2009 Grand Vitara vehicles may develop a crack(s) between cylinder head bolt(s) and casting plug(s). CORRECTION: A special coverage extension will apply for vehicles beyond the basic warranty limits. The coverage allows repairs to be made for customers at no charge for parts and labor up to 7 years or 102,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of first use, at authorized Suzuki service points. Cracks in locations other than the specified areas of the cylinder head do not qualify for the coverage extension."

Check engine lamp Glowing while running the engine, no year SX4 told. nor the engine there. but CRUISE now (modern designed) is disabled. when CEL glows. that way CRUISE can not go mad and cause car to wreck, see how that works.? engine throttle fails! transmission fails! and more. brakes lamps dead (all)and more too. the users guide I guess lost now, told you CEL on, means get the car serviced in real shop or buy the scan tool and scan it at the failure. 2 cures told. me. same answer any car doing that.

most those bolts are TTY and are not reused. and are set by angle. not torque. I guess you never worked modern engines, or read the service manual first for all the steps in order ? 2.0L gas? 2.0. is not any suzuki engine name at all and there are four(4) 2.0L engine used, 2 gas and 2 diesel we can not guess engines, is it a USA car or not? I only answer for USA. 2.0 DDIS or AWD version < my guess is SuZ J20b? 2.0L vvt and vvt-i SM< words , USA 2.0L gas VVT ,, (2.0L VIN 5, 6th digit?) Before installing the cylinder head to the cylinder block, turn the crankshaft and position key within the specified range (30-90°) in the counterclockwise direction from the top. Turn the crankshaft and position key within the specified range/,, Crank key not UP, but before UP, 30 to 90 before then Install the cylinder head to the cylinder block.(do not lose 23 dowel pins)

1. Step 1: Apply engine oil to the cylinder head No. 1 bolt threads.
2. Step 2: Tighten the cylinder head No. 1 bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm), evenly and gradually, in sequence.NOTE Use a 12-point socket wrench to tighten the cylinder head No. 1 bolts.
3. Step 3: Tighten No. 1 cylinder head bolts to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
4. Step 4: Tighten No. 1 cylinder head bolts an additional 60°.
5. Step 5: Tighten No. 1 cylinder head bolts an additional 80°.
6. Step 6: Tighten No. 2 cylinder head bolt to 19 ft. lbs. (25 Nm). Cylinder head tightening sequence
