Engine wont fire, almost fires with starter fluid sprayed into the intake.

wow good feed back, very rare here,, we get posters here that just want wild guessing and have no tools or refuse to buy them. what country is this swift, are you in EUROPE? the swift is sold world wide with 10 engines we can not guess engines ever, and on swift 10x so.... very few cars have that many save the landrovers.or cruiser. you probably dont know this but here, 1992 cars had carbs , up to 1994 in usa. and up to 2006 in the reset of the world. most ended ww. in 2001 so i can't even guess what spark or fueling systems you have,????? carb or EFI. see this hopeless post?) see???? whats there, I've no clue at all.... nor will anyone. give all facts stated here.. swift is a Cultus based cars,. world wide. in a real shop, we open the hood.(no photo by you) and go. OMG its a G13a: 1.0 L G10 (LP2) I3 1.0 L G10T (LS3) turbo I3 1.3 L G13A/BA (L72) 8V I4 1.3 L G13B/G13K 16V DOHC I4 1.5 L G15A 16V I4 1.6 L G16 16V I4 I then look at the cars vin and go, omg it's a german car./? same as my drivers license,....omg. when did i move to Germany.....????i got to back off on that GuinnessĀ® Extra Stout !and not take trains when drunk, (sorry im too old for that) about all we know is this table on swifts.Lean that cars are not the same world wide.even if the cute body look the same (skins) any hints? 26102291-4ck0s2e11zusaohrt4godt42-3-0.jpgGENERIC answer, lacking engine NAME !!!so the engines ok, what ever's there,....?????has new cam belt, (VERY GOOD THAT)and compression over 150psi. (below 1000' altitude)so does it run on spray test fuel for 2-3seconds each hit.? (no compression # stated, how sad)yes,/no.do you need a video, on this?"almost fires", tell me zero.does it run for 3 seconds and sound ok on instant spray fuel. test.if it does then sparks ok too. see???????????and gets you to the last points in the logical progressions of testing...can burn gas, no spark and dead compression...so what is next?well fueling is, that is what.fuel pressure at spec?i cant tell you, after all NO ENGINE STATED.is it? if yes. good. 30psi is common...i then check (we do this 1st thing if EFI , if EFI, see?)with the jumper clip flash codesthe ECU cuts fuel for 3 major failures (prevents crash and burn as seen on TV "telly"?)one is, if the ECU thinks spark is bad in 3 wayseven if spark is ok. see? the key word there is THINKS.? (called computer inputs,in tech jargon)(Allen Turing like engine brains)or thinks the throttle is open and is NOT.here ill list them in GENERIC form.1: stuck wideopen throttle TPS failure or lost ground. ( throttle angle reads 100%)2: ckp dead.3: cmp dead4: tacho line dead.cuts fuel.. for all 4 cause, not scanning the PCM first is why you work blind, facts)no scan tool, (sad face) then you get MR, FLASH.so did you jumper the DLC pins?our metros have same jumpers as others (swifts)

How do i remove a rear window

hard top or convertible.? I guess at hard. Not side rear. or doors., but rear rear. as in rear view. rear window. glass out? why not say why so can see JOB ? at hand. eg: my rear view glass is broken.? is covered in the FSM, (like all cars made) the factory service manual. or alldata.com (clone) log in read. ok ill past the FSM words here. Stationary Windows Stationary glass is removed and installed using the same procedure as the windshield. Refer to Windshield Glass Removal and Installation. (first hit ,btw) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dp2VVvPlXc ever seen a front windshield changed out, sure. same best solution is...... Call the same company to come out and point to rear .? they sell a special tool to get out a window. it has 2 , "T" handles and rod saw. to cut out the glue/caulk. the glue comes out more easy on a hot day. its not really glass, it's an occupant containing device, today. the best caulk is. 3M 08693 Auto Glass Urethane Windshield Adhesive Cartridge how is my guess.... on car, and glass and reasons.

Fouls plugs after 50-55mph

its rich, (which engine, there are more than 1) ????? and is not in closed loop mode (ECU) fix that first. so diagnose rich. EFI engines. no country stated, as others have carbs way newer,. 1: too high fuel pressure, (gage it) alldata.com has spec. and steps. 2: injector(s) leak. same tool above finds this, ask. 3: ECT reads low temp all time time, (thermostat bad, or missing?) 4: IAT reads too low. (TBI engines, with MAP sensors) 5: 02 sensors bad. (if all else is good and o2 reads wrong its bad) 6: exhaust leaks near, 02, causing o2 to read lean, forcing max rich. 7: did you run the ECU scan codes? the Check engine flashing light using the diagnostic jumper , yet? mostly those. there are tests for each. ASE ways and means. if your swift has a heated 02 sensor, it can even hold closed loop at idle..... sure can, and if so , i check that first. then closed loop at 2500 rpm , in neutral. (how is complex) on these old dogs. suz, the worst ,no scan tools. are sold over the counter. so I must use a scope. i watch the 02 sensors output. and make sure engine goes to closed loop, if not i fix that. first. there are ways to do this, (by me forcing lean or rich using other tricks of the trade. ask. I do so , to see if i can wake up the o2 sensor. this is all covered in ASE courses...... this magic./ id be all over, fuel pressures, REAL not guessing or squirting checks bs. id be all over exhaust leaks near the O2. and first a new 02. most cars, its like long ago ,dead and you look and the tip is , GONE! 1992 oxy sensors are useless.

car moves faster when A/T (is it A/T) is shifted to Neutral?yes, (then you are going down hill?)if gear shift linkage is maladjusted that would cause neutral to fail. (A/T)A/T = automatic transmissin.or are you saying the engine races (illegal idle speeds ) in neutral.to get help, be clear on driving modes.or ask your mechanic.

Battery dies over night

It's probably the door light. This is a common problem and more can be found at TEAM SWIFT. You can disconnect the wire from the door jamb or turn the dome light to the off position. TEAM SWIFT has this common fix more in detail.

Car will not start on ignition, engine trying but just wont kick in

First things to check is fuel and spark. When you turn the ignition on do you hear the fuel pump prime? (sounds like a buzzing sound probably from under the rear seats) if it does then thats good! If not then it could be a fuse or even an immobiliser. Does it have an immobiliser? Or even a broken wire, etc. For a spark it's best to use an adaptor between the spark plug and ht lead, it will flash as you turn it over if there is a spark (there are other ways but it's prob best to google them). Would also be worth while to check all connections on the engine, etc. Hope this helps as a starting point. Oh and as you said it is turning over I would assume that the battery is ok but you may also want to volt test this to confirm.
