1996 Grand Voyager 3.3L Over Heats

Dodge Caravan is notorious for failure of the electronic cooling fan control module (AKA cooling fan relay). This is not a "relay", it is a solid-state control unit, but many people call it a relay anyway. It is mounted on the inside of the left frame rail just behind the radiator. You have to look up from UNDER the vehicle to see it. It looks like the picture below. The picture shown is very close to actual size.12_4_2011_10_30_47_pm.jpg

Generator unregulated

Wow, I am surprised it can output that kind of power... Does the vehicle run fine otherwise beside this issue? Never heard of a vehicle alternator putting out that high of volts.

Error codes 738

All I have for code 738 is "trans control module speed output circuit low" which means the data going to the trans control module needs to be checked. You would probably need a scanner to watch the data flow from the transmission to find the problem

Ford tdci crank sensortest

you can't do a test on that sensor with a multimeter; you can test the wiring harness only. for the sensor itself you need either an oscilloscope or a diagnostic tool which can access it. if you have a frequency reader on your meter, you might get some reading, but that doesn't tell you if the sensor is good. this applies to all sensors which read rotational values which have more than two wires at the connector.

P0140 bank 1 sensor 2 1996 plymouth grand voyager minivan

Code 140 is for a problem with the O2 sensor bank one sensor two. This sensor is behind the catalytic converter and tells the computer if the cat is working or not.The code means the sensor voltage has not changed as often as it should. Could be a faulty sensor, wiring harness problem, or other issue. The sensor would need to be tested using a scanner.

Van is leaking orange under right side.

Well, the trans is on the left or drivers side of the van. If the trans were leaking fluid it would be red.Orange could be radiator coolant. It could be a hose or the water pump.Someone will have to narrow down where it is coming from.

The motor switch on my 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager is bad. Is there a way that I can manually switch the vent from air to heat under the dash without having it taken off?

You might be able to remove the blend door motor and move the door, but it may not stay in place.
