How to change the flywheel on a 2004 mercury sable

This isn't a complicated a job but is a LOT of work. It will also depend on what tools and equipment you have. Changing a flywheel isn't really a job that you can do on your driveway. If you are not sure in ANY way about what you are doing, get a good mechanic to do it for you. It will be the labour costs your paying for. *NOTE* ALL the parts you will work with are VERY heavy and some will need Two people to lift and move. To replace it you will need to remove the transmission and anything bolted to the flywheel. You can then remove the flywheel itself. Note - When you fit the new flywheel The bolt holes for it will only line up in one position so you may need to keep turning the flywheel until they all line up.

03 Mercury Mountaineer a/c blowing hot air. Recharged the system, checked rely and fuse, clutch is engaged What could stop the a/c from blowing cold air

Use AC sniff her to check the condenser valve. That should be a valve in it like a bicycle might have it could be leaking right there. I had to tighten that valve or also the dryer could have a crack in it. Also, the AC lines may have a crack or a breach

Got a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer. Did a filter and fluid change but there no fluid in the pan from the drain plug

It sounds like you are emptying one system, but filling up another system. You can probably send a video to the YouTube Channel 'Just Rolled In'. Both the engine and the transmission have filters and drain plugs and fluid, but your question gives no hints as to which? Broadly speaking, if could also be the fuel tank and filter, or the washer bottle and filter.

2000 mercury cougar 2.5 v6 where does this hose go

It can be difficult to diagnose the exact location of a disconnected hose without seeing the vehicle in person, but based on your description, it sounds like the hose may be a vacuum line that is disconnected. A disconnected vacuum line can cause issues with acceleration and can also cause other problems with the engine's performance. To locate where the hose connects, you can try tracing it back to its source. It may connect to a vacuum port on the intake manifold, throttle body, or another component. Look for any disconnected ports or fittings that match the diameter of the hose. You can also consult the vehicle's service manual for a diagram or description of the vacuum system to help you locate where the hose should connect. If you are still unable to locate where the hose connects, it may be helpful to bring the vehicle to a mechanic or automotive shop for further diagnosis.

Seeking a solution for 2000 mercury sable 3.0 without ignition key

If you have lost the keys to your 2000 Mercury Sable 3.0, here are some possible solutions:

Retrieve the master key code: The master key code is usually found in the owner's manual or on a separate card that came with the vehicle when it was new. If you cannot find the master key code, you may be able to obtain it from a Mercury dealership by providing the vehicle identification number (VIN).

Program a new key: To program a new key, you will need at least one working key to use as a reference. If you do not have a working key, you may need to have a locksmith or Mercury dealership program the new key for you.

Replace the ignition switch and steering column lock cylinder: If you are unable to retrieve the master key code or program a new key, you may need to replace the ignition switch and steering column lock cylinder. This can be a more expensive option, but it will allow you to start the vehicle with a new set of keys.

It is recommended to consult a professional mechanic or locksmith for assistance with any of these options to ensure that the repairs are done correctly and safely.

(FOR ANY ELECTRIC FAIL) there are 5 causes.( we now know stater was solenoid 1: the battery is bad. use jumper cables to prove that or charge it first then load test it . lugs tight and clean. SO bat. is good because step 5 passes, starter jumped. 2:key switch bad or IMMO security fails and some cars 10% cut starter dead with the fuel. 3: PRNDL switch bad (A/t box?)_ try cranking in Neutral now. fails. see next answer. 4: starter relay bad. 5: starter bad. no it works solenoid direct jump test. 6: any wires above serial path bad, one is. the I4 or V6 engine not told. 2.3L or 3.0L-v6 ask ford that, merc, ford, call them. not told at all what computer means.? PCM? cars are full of them and worse every newer year. yes all that is married.! key security IMMO if there. (rule of GIGO garbage in ,garbage out) all inputs and output actuators must be good!! ALL! cam jumped time is an easy fix if head valves not bent/ never checked all fuses and scan the PCM for errors? so engine died but the starter cranks fast or what? V6 is chain cam the chain wrecked? and is interference engine, got this? DOHC 4 cams. means never let the chain fail. I4 is chain cam. and has hydra, chain tension'er that must not be bad. or chain goes wild. cheap fix that.\ free running engine, no bent valves deals. spark timing is fixed in the PCM. not adjustable ever. find a real ASE shop and end guessing. they do the tests and deep inspections to learn truth,. i get my PCM from CARDONE and it says clear as day flash programing. and did not lie https://www.cardone.com/search.php?search_query=%22XJ9Q8A9~%22&year=2005&make=MERCURY&model=MARINER&Part%20Type=Engine%20Control%20Module&sort=alphaasc 9x out of 10 scans the PCM as you crank any dead engine and it tells you why it did. sure P0-3xx errors for cam/crank, cmp/ckp sensor out of sync when the chain fails but gee the chain warned you in advance (I WILL FAIL HARD SOOn with huge racket of noise top of engine) good luck !!!!!
