1987 labaron 2.2 turbo not charging
The computer doesn't have any voltage regulator in it, the regulator is a stand alone unit under the hood on the firewall I think. A picture of your cars voltage regulator is below, is that what you replaced?

If the fuses are still good, most likely will need a new cluster or computer which both will be hard to come by on something that old.
Car starts run good for a little while then dies. On the road car acts like it is running out of gas.
Do you have gas pressure at the fuel line going into the injector? If not, do you have gas pressure at the fuel filter at the gas filter by the passenger real wheel? If not, do you hear the fuel pump kicking on when you turn the key? If you don't have high pressure (spray) at the rear filter, but you hear the pump, then you need to drop the tank and change the filter sock at the pump, which is a pain ;-( If you don't hear the pump, then check the relay controlling that.

The alternator is controlled by the engine computer. Its possible the regulator inside the computer has failed.You could also have a faulty wire or connection between the alternator and the battery cable. Or a bad ground connection.Someone would need to troubleshoot the charging circuit with a meter and a shop manual.
