Shifter stuck in park
The "brake shifter switch" (brake light switch) is located underneath the dashboard, and links directly to the brake pedal assembly. If you look, you will be able to find the switch. It is the same switch that releases the lock solenoid on your shifter.
If your brake lights are working, it is not the culprit. Check the shift lock solenoid for proper operation instead.
What causes air hose collapses and gets pinched off of 2002 mountaineer. around intake carb area
Collapsed hose indicate the pressure on one side is much lower than the other, in this case the intake or suction side is very strong and since the air its pulling into the engine is not sufficient i.e. both sides are not equal, the hose collapses. Most likely you have an air restriction in the hose someplace, could be a really badly clogged air filter, or an obstruction in the air intake at the front of the vehicle where the air intake scoop is. Check that line carefully you'll probably find something in there someplace.
