The Sebring is a front wheel drive car. The transmission drives the two axles directly. You only need to check your transmission fluid. There is no differential like a rear axle style unit.

read obd fault code(s), turn key on/off quickly 3 times and watch odometer. write down the codes as they appear. google the codes for the problem.

Immobilizer .....if you don't have the right key the immobiliser will prevent engine firing.it could be something else but I had two sets of keys and only one would let the engine start .just an idea.

More than likely a bad vacuum or electric actuator, or bad vacuum line. Actuators control the mode doors to change from floor, vent, and defrost.

This requires many details and torque values. Suggest you buy a cheap shop manual to avoid failure.

Cams are WELL known for knocking on these engines. It isnt a sticky piston ring or timing. The cams have a wear point on the lobes and will make noise till warm and the oil is warm. I habe worked on many of these engines. Best bet is to run a good oil and a little heavier year around like 10w 30 high mileage oil. Even lucas oil additice helps with the noise because it doesnt drain down like oil and keeps the lodes and lifters oiled better.

DTC code is P0340 no cam signal at PCM. Chrysler always used to say replace the cam and crank sensors together..wouldn't pay our warranty time at dealer unless we replaced both.

The red cable ends must be connected to the positive post on both batteries. Hooked up wrong blows a fuse

really. you have to pull the light cover off. if its on the trunk lid side, I am just guessing but you have to pull the interior panel to get to the light bulbs

is it boiling or bubbling big difference but sounds like there's air getting in system or exhaust gases more info would be a big help is car overheating ?

You have to remove the serpentine belt (takes a special tool) then remove the bolts holding the alternator to the engine block.

The automatic idle control module is faulty.

the humming is the motor trying to open roof , the windows dropping is a normal part of the operation , without seeing the vehicle it's difficult to be exact but unless there is a latch /lever that has to be pulled prior to pressing the switch i'd recommend getting a auto electrician to look at it , could just be a relay not powering up enough keep me posted if you wish

engine wont turn over unless you hold gas pedal down? That is an electronic issue. you should have a ENGINE LIGHT ON....have the code read.

Just locate the fuse box look on the cover that you remove and it will show you which fuse is the power window fuse. Then just replace it with the same amp fuse. Also there is a main fuse panel drivers side under hood check that one also.

Depends how good you are at it and if the nuts are seized. 60-90 minutes.
