I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and when you apply the brakes there seems to be a popping like noise. the brakes have been changes and the rotors are good. It sounds like a shock or something of that sort. It does this every time.
Hello and Hope this helps you and anyone else experiencing this... My Wife and I have a 2005 Pac Trng and ever since we got the vehicle we had been hearing an increasingly loud "thump" on acceleration or over bumpy roads, and a loud "thunk" when initially applying the brake, also, from a high speed slow down, the car would shake in the front end. After 3 service stops at different dealers in the area (all of whom said they could not tell what it was or did not hear anything even when it was audibly noticeable, to "we think it might be the struts" explanation), I decided to do some googling on my own and found an obscure post about a little known issue with the "Lower Front Control Arms". There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin on this item as well - Chrysler Pacifica 2004-2005, Service Bulletin #: 0200704 and NHTSA #: 10010533). It seems that even the Chrysler Service Technicians are unaware of this issue which shocks me - Aren't they they ones who should be telling me what it is???!!! We scheduled a service check at the same dealer who didn't hear anything the first time, asked for the manager to take a test drive with me so he could hear what I was hearing, let him drive it on his own, and insisted that he look up the TSB. Since it was covered under warranty, I asked him to "please replace the item we are referring to" - I mean what else do we have to lose? They reluctantly took the car in and the manager called me the next day to tell me that I was exactly right! The Rear Lower Control Arm Bushing was extremely bad. We also had the Front and Rear Motor Mounts replaced to elimante a secondary knocking issue we experienced while accelerating. The overall effect was a much smoother (and Quieter!) take off and stop, with no popping, creaking, or "loose parts" sounds coming from the front end at all! If you are experiencing the "Thumping" or "Knocking" noises during braking or acceleration, or a slow speed "Rumble" (between 5 and 15 mph) in the front end when going over uneven ground or potholes, then you may want to have your dealership or mechanic take a look at these two items (Lower Control Arm Bushings and Motor Mounts). It has nothing to do with Brakes or Struts - unless you have a really crappy mechanic who just tinkered around with those items recently.

The DVD player has a error message and won't play the dvd's. I can't eject them or do anything with them.
the dvd on a 2004 chrysler pacifica doesnt start you can hear the sound but no picture. what could be the problem?

The fuel guage on my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica goes from the actual fuel level to empty repeatedly and the low fuel chime goes off. How do I fix this or how do I turn off the chime?
The problem will get worse, to the point that it will leave you stranded, out of gas. The solution is simple but most dealers don't catch it. They try fuel pumps, computer updates, sensors and the problem persists. You can fix this problem yourself and without spending a nickel. Want to know how I know? I've owned two Pacifica's and both have done this. Here's why: The Pacifica has a very unique and poorly designed fuel storage system. It uses what is refered to as a saddle tank. This is so they can use the same tank in both the all wheel drive and the front wheel drive versions. If you look underneath you will see it actually looks like two tanks. The driver side is the fill side and the passenger side is the delivery side. There are actually two fuel pumps, a main pump (pumps gas to the engine) and a equalization pump (pumps fuel from the the fill side to the delivery side of the saddle tank. The problem that you are experiencing carries with it several symptoms; running out of gas when the tank is half full, the gas gauge dropping suddenly at half full, and the inability to pump more gas into the tank without shaking the car back and forth and/or pumping very slowly. This is because of the way the two sending units inside the tank send their signals to the gas gauge and the fact that only when the fill side of the tank is 100% full, can some of the gas flow over the top of the hump to the delivery side tank. You can replace pumps all day long and most likely still have the problem. So what's the fix? It's simple. Underneath the vehicle, inline with the emissions lines going to the gas tank, about middle of the vehicle, there is a small plastic air inlet filter about the size of 50 cent piece mounted to the floor of the vehicle. It is responsible for venting the tanks pressure, allowing fuel to flow into the delivery side tank. It get's full of dirt and debris. Replace it a cost of about $3.50 or just blow it out with compressed air. If you don't want to do it yourself, help those dealers out - point them in the right direction, or else they will be running in circles trying to fix the problem. My Chrysler Pacifica will not start and they have put a new starter on it but it still will not start. Replaced battery and still will not start. Can it be relay switch needing to be replaced?
You said it won't start but you didn't say if it will not crank. But I'm going to assume you meant it will not crank your turn over. And that case tests for power at the solenoid it will probably be on the starter or some were on the cable going to the starter and the battery. Using a test light check for power at the small wire at the solenoid while you have someone turn the key to start. If you do not have power here you may have a problem with your ignition switch, antitheft system or blown fuse. If you do have power here, you might have a bad connection, bad solenoid, or battery problem. Good luck.

Chrysler Pacifica won't start. Just hear clicking sounds. Do have dashboard lights & electrical power.
There are some possibilities which you
will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and
voltage to the battery. With meter it will show exact 12 volt if the
battery is charged. If the voltage is less get the battery charged at local
auto repair shop. If the battery is internally drained and not getting charged
then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the car do you see
spark coming at the spark plug? If no then its time to check the spark plugs
and coil pack. If the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time
to check coil pack. The spark plug gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case
is the starter solenoid of the car. If the battery is charged and you start the
car then it gives power to the starter to start the car. But if starter is
faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case
is fuel in the car. If there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the
fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the
fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities
mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then it’s a electrical issue and
the wiring's in the car needs to be checked. The car gets
power from the battery to get started. so the wires from battery needs to be
checked one by one.

I have a 2004 Chrysler pacifica that would not start. We've had the battery tested and changed the starter. We've checked that there is power getting to the starter as well as the solenoid. We've also changed the relay. Any suggestions
I have a 2007 chrysler Pacifica and it had the same problem. It would crank over but not start. Took some time to figure out but in the end the asd control wire that runs from the fuse box to the PCM was corroded in half about 5 inches from the fuse box. It would show 9 volts at the PCM but no continuity.

How to remove starter from 2004 pacifica
REMOVAL
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove (UPPER RADIATOR CROSS MEMBER) and relocate (UPPER RADIATOR CROSS
MEMBER REMOVED) the upper radiator crossmember, (Refer to 23 -
BODY/EXTERIOR/RADIATOR CROSSMEMBER - REMOVAL).
Remove the radiator fan module (FAN MODULE IN VEHICLE) (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL).
Remove the wiring harness clip from front mount.
Remove the coolant line clamp bolt (COOLANT LINE BRACKET).
Remove the upper nut from the front mount (FRONT RUBBER MOUNT UPPER NUT).
Remove the upper starter mounting bolt (UPPER STARTER BOLT).
Remove the middle starter bolt (MIDDLE STARTER BOLT).
Raise vehicle and support.
Remove the lower front mount nut (FRONT RUBBER MOUNT IN POSITION).
Raise and support engine (SUPPORT ENGINE).
Remove the lower bracket bolt to transmission (BRACKET TRANS BOLT).
Remove the lower bracket bolt to engine block (BRACKET ENGINE BLOCK BOLT).
Relocate the front mount and bracket.
Disconnect the positive battery cable from starter
Disconnect the solenoid connector from starter.
Remove the lower starter bolt (STARTER LOWER BOLT).
Remove starter from vehicle.
