Gas in oil, flooding, no power
Don't run engine. Loss of power can be from washed out cylinders from gas bath. Friction also increases and engine will seize.Check fuel pressure at fuel rail for excess pressure. Dirty injectors can fail to close. They put a pressure gauge on system and then check for a bleed down. You can borrow some tools from big autoparts chains.Drain oil and change filter. Temperature controls on engine can fail and keep engine too rich.
I have a 2001 chrysler voyager with a 2.4l engine. it cranks but no start. no check engine light
From a(Retired Chrysler Tech) If prior to changing the T-stat & belts you were experincing a no start,Then afterward it started & ran fine until you again worked in the same area as before, The first thing I would do is to check any and all electrical "wiring" and or sensors & switches in that same area, If your vehicle is equiped with a crankshaft sensor it may be at the front of the engine in close proximity to the harmonic balancer,"crankshaft pully"& the wiring my be routed as to be easily moved while working in the belt area..pay close attention to the condition of the wiring. any wires that are exposed(bare) must be repaired or replaced. check for loose plugs at sensors. Be meticulous in your search, the smallest thing will create a no start in this type of set up.
2001 Chrysler Voyager will not start
does it crank. if so then the starter is good. when you turn the key but not start it do you hear the fuel pump running. do you know if you have spark to the spark plugs. is there any codes
What could cause van to run hot
Thermostat needs to be change, Or a blockage in system, Water pump not working properly, Or a blowin head gasket, Or a crack in the engine block.
I brought it to advance auto for them to
Absolutely. The EGR controls the air to gas ratio in the sense that recycling unspent gas vapor is a large part of the engine's combustion. If it is faulty, expect hesitation or shuddering. Also, the EGR valve is cheap and easy to install on most vehicles.
Car intermitantly stalls
Had this problem with a work van. It ended up being a faulty part. Apparently these vans have a safety feature that if you get rear ended the fuel is shut off and stops feeding fuel to the engine. My safety feature was faulty. Its really scary when your vehicle stalls while your driving down the interstate! I have the feature disconnected at the dealership, but not before I was in a bad wreck. Not sure if this is it, but why not check it out.

A 2001 model should have the filter with the lines made on.It should be under the van in front of the gas tank.
2001 chrysler voyager speedometer needle stuck on
I have had this problem
put key in ignition (do not turn on) and press the trip button for about 30 seconds.
This should reset your speedometer
If one hits the trip button with the engine off it goes into a diagnostic mode and the speedometer pegs out. This basically lets it finish the diagnostics.
Dealer will charge you $800 for a 3 minute job.
I used this solution from Edmunds forums but cannot find the links anymore.
I have had two others reset theirs for the same problem.
