The legal method is to evac the freon into a recovery station, then recharge. Its possible the pressure switch is mounted on a shrader valve and you can remove the switch without loosing any freon. Problem is you wouldn't know without taking the switch off. You could find out at a salvage yard.

Disconnecting the battery could reset codes and/or sensor readings in the engine computer. Is the check engine light on, and have you checked the computer for trouble codes ? Is fuel pressure normal ?

Likely it's not a head gasket (yet) You should check your fans to make sure they are coming on properly. check that there are no leaves or debris stuck between the radiator and the a/c condenser and that the radiator is flowing well.
Even though the engine is running well after it gets hot, it is not good for the head gasket and can cause it to fail...take care of the problem asap!!!

Assuming you have enough coolant in the car, try a new radiator cap first. If that doesn't fix it try changing the thermostat and seal. If it only happens with the a/c on at low speeds the aux cooling fan is bad. There is a low speed fan and high speed fan depending on how hot the motor is. Both turn off at speeds higher than 35mph. If it happens without the a/c it could be bad water pump, radiator fan or a cracked head. Cracked head could allow steam leaking into the intake causing misfire. Overheating problems

If you're getting a crank code, then change the crank position sensor.....

does car run now? (the other shoe drops...) we use real scan tools not the silly key/on/off bs. use and post real DTC errors and win.... use any real scan tool , all work in usa, for 2001. so if it run now, is battery voltage at 13.3 to 15vdc, if not the charge system is failing, and battery died. if it dont run is battery voltage, 12.6vdc minimum, rested, if not charge it now. the PCM will not run right on low battery voltage at all. below 10v it goes NUTS> are fuses all good are the battery lugs clean? (do it its a service all cars need)

Buy cheap shop manual to make sure you get this right.

Your issues are all three non related to each other. The ABS is a brake issue. You may have a bad sensor at one of the wheels. They will need to be tested. Power windows; if they all are not working, you probably have a blown fuse, or the relay is bad. The AC could possibly need recharged. This is another thing you can take to a local shop that does air conditioner service. Watch for a special to test and recharge for 50-60.00. If it isn't just a recharge, they will tell you what the problem is.

Marco, check under the hood in the fuse box for the starter relay. You may be able to swap it with one like it if it has the same numbers on it just to see if it cranks over.

Don't mess with Air Bag problems take to dealer. $1000+ if air bag goes off. Won't pass inspection with bad air bag. Also check for bad ground wires and clean connections between battery ground and frame / car body which completes all circuits.

check the igntion off draw fuse if it is blown or not fully seated in the fuse block it can cause this

Hi Mykel: Sounds like you have a broken line to the clutch slave cylinder. The clutch is normally (rear wheel drive) right behind the flywheel and at the front of the transmission. There is usually a metal cover that can be removed so you can see inside. Here's a link that may help you. Try pumping the clutch a while, sounds like trapped air. There hard to bleed . Look up a bleeding procedure .it may show you some thing different to do

I thought it was a fuel problem but when you say the tach and speedometer go from zero to full speed and RPM has me stumped Thinking maybe the computer was malfunctioning. Then you talked about the transmission bucking and that made me thinking it was slipping and then grabbing again slipping and grabbing. Check the fluid on flat surface engine warm and look at the dipstick and make sure it is full and not over full the color should be pink not dark and shouldn't have a strong burnt smell. Do you have the check engine light on the dash if so have it checked for free at an auto parts store and see what code is in there
