A couple of leaks can be fairly large. An Oil Pan leak where you will see oil seeping down the sides of the pan and dripping directly below. The other is a Rear Main Bearing Seal leak and the oil will be coming from where the engine meets the transmission.

Make sure your throttle cable adjuster is allowing some play at the pedal position sensor. It may be binding on something under the hood. Also check to make sure the cable is not slipping off the side of the pulley at the throttle. If all that looks good, access the throttle plate to make sure it is closing. Could be an issue with the return spring or maybe a very dirty throttle plate and body.

not really your problem this is the result of faulty workmanship by the first" mechanic" you took it to so he is responsible to get your vehicle back to you better than it was when he got it That is the whole purpose of the big bucks that you paid In realty , the clutch was the problem and the transmission repair was probably not necessary talk with the mechanic and if he gets upset , contact a lawyer
