Line test for short. Use the VOM or have a garage test it for you.

Engines need fuel, spark, and air. Miss any one, and it won't run. Do you have any "check engine" indicators? If so, get the codes read. Pull a plug. Is it wet? If so, engine is flooded. Pull all plugs, and allow to dry, several hours, replace and try again. Check for spark. Spark good? If not, troubleshoot why.

It is located inside the transmission. Unless you are skilled enough to remove the pan and the guts of a tranny leave it for a shop @ $200.

Well Felicia it's one of three thing's , it's no spark to the spark plugs or it's not getting any gas into the engine or the engine has no compression ! You say the engine cranks over when you turn the key ? No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy

do the heater hoses get hot to the heater core?

I would like to ask you that did you change the Transmission .

L-R pressure switch/seolenoid or wiring or connector

on the throttle body

Scan for transmission faults it needs to see the neutral switch input for it to start

try calling a car expert i aint one

Chilton ($25.95) and Haynes ($21.95) both make manuals for the 1999 300M. I would suggest you get one of those for your instructions.

I had the same problem recently and it was the fuel filter and sock strainer over the fuel pump in the tank. The fuel pump tested fine. After the filters were changed, it works fine.
