Occationally stuck in 2nd gear.

Change of fluid and filter helps. The condition of the old oil will tell you weather there might be more damage. Debris on the oil may also be found in the transmission solenoid which controls the fluid which engages the gears. Your solenoid may be dirty or damaged. It is also possible that the valves for the 3rd gear is dirty that is why you are staying on the 2nd gear. These two components needs to be inspected further by opening the transmission.

Installed new fuel pump 98 town and country ox now

Chances are when the pump was put in the tank the float on the side of the fuel pump was not turned to where it will move up and down properly with the fuel level. Or it might have been forced in causing damage to the sending unit cause they can be kinda tricky to get back in the tank and turned in the right position. Pump will have to be removed and sending unit on the side of the pump inspected. However before doing all that make sure all the wires are plugged into the top of the fuel pump. Good luck

I have a 1998 chrysler

A similar problem happened with my Chrysler. After checking sensors, map, cps, O2, tps, etc. (TPS-throttle position sensor can cause a problem similar to your description.) When problem occurs gently tap on TPS for any change in condition. (tps located at end of throttle cable near air intake/throttle body.) My condition found to be a bad alternator. The slip ring brushes and worn to limit and just "barely touching" slip rings of armature. One may try tapping gently at outer rear of alternator housing while condition exists (with wood handle)----checking for any change. (Mine set code 41) BOTH OF THESE CAN BE DUE TO CHANGE IN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WHILE ENGINE WARMS UP. BUT MAY REQUIRE OTHER TROUBLESHOOTING (????) Here is description of my problem as it happened in my chrysler. Good Luck. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Chrysler-Repair-807/f/van-warm-bucks.htm

It should be at the driver side inner fender. You may want to have a scanner connected first to the diagnostic port of the car to see if you can retrieve the error codes if you plan on replacing parts. The error codes would help us identify the issue accurately.

I cannot disarm my alarm system so I cannot start

It sounds like your transmitter on your remote is not functioning. You may just need to replace the battery in your remote! Some times unlocking the doors w/your keys will disarms the alarm system. Thats why i had to do when i lost my remote. See if that helps!

98 town and country not

Hi, Your engine has to prime a high fuel pressure to start your engine. I would first replace the fuel filter and see if that helps. If not, your fuel pump is failing and needs to be replaced.

Where do I put transmission

Use a fine tip funnel and fill it through the dipstick tube. That's where most automatic transmissions' fluid is filled from.

My wife drove the mini van when it was low or

Knocking means you're still low on oil. Try have an oil and filter change. If your engine is blown, you won't hear or feel it cause it's seized. A dying engine from oil starvation would make screeching metal to metal noise. Yours sounds more like a stuck cam follower from oil starvation.

Engine code reads P1776 1/2 and P0700 transmission

P0700-This Relates to MIL"Malfunction Indicator Lamp")( Request - Control System for Transmission
unable to locate description for P1776,can you get all systems scanned for codes again as 0700 just indicates that a fault has occurred that has lit the check light and logged at the ECU.
Obviously it will be related to the shift fault, maybe a speed sensor or a dirty fluid fault.
Get back to me with any extra info.

Show parts under hood for warter

It is easy to see the waterpump because it has to be driven by the engine belts up from the crankshaft.
But there are many different engines and they have different pumps.
The link shows what they look like.
If it is run by the camshaft timing belt, then you should also replace that, and have to make sure you set the engine to TDC on #1 before you start, so that you can ensure you set the timing correctly.
If you have to deal with the timing belt, you should get a manual to be sure.
Otherwise it is only powered by V belt, and is easy to do.
But you should probably also change the thermostat if it overheated.
And if it comes with a paper gasket, use some sealing compound. If it comes with an O ring, you don't need to use anything.

Every time I turn the key the engine fuse blows

you have a dead short in your wiring or the starter motor.
disconnect the starter wire from the starter and try to start the car - does the fuse blow. ( the car will not start of course).
if it does blow you have a wiring problem - careful the problem could cause a electrical fire.
