I'm not familiar with your specific make and model, but alternators typically are fairly similar. There are usually two bolts that hold the alternator to the engine, one on top and one on the bottom. One holds the alternator in place, and the other allows it to pivot, so you can adjust the belt tension. You need to loosen both bolts, pivot the alternator to remove the belt, then remove both bolts. The wires go into the back of the alternator, just remove them from the screws holding them in place.

You an adjust the idle higher to compensate, but that will only treat the symptom, not the underlying problem. If your car has fuel injection, the injectors may be clogged. If not, the carb may need adjusting.

How weak? You need to use an adjustable spark tester and the end of the plug wire. It should be able to jump at least 1/2"
