Why steering wheel gets tough to turn

This can be caused by many things. A worn or slipping belt. Low fluid in the power steering pump reservoir. A bad rack and pinion. Bad power steering pump. Tire pressure low. I did have a power steering pump go bad and cause this problem. I was told that, no way a power steering pump could cause this, and after I had the rack replaced guess what, it was the power steering pump after all.

Why does my 1997 chrysler town and country idles high?

Check the iac idle air control valve or the egr valve which doesnt always need replacing just a simple carb cleaning. If you clean the egr valve replace the o2s it is surely next to go. There can be 2 one on the manifold amd n the other by the cat.

My 1997 chrysler t &c is making a loud clunking noise, steers hard and overheats. Mechanic says it's tension pully. does that sound right

It sounds like it to me. Your van has a serpentine belt which is pulled tightly by the tensioner pulley, hint the name "tension" pulley. If this is defective you will experience the problems/symptoms you have listed, hard steering, over heating, and the clunking, which must be the defective tension pulley. All those problems should resolve immediately after it is replaced. Don't forget to replace the serpentine belt too, for preventative measures. How this helps...

Code 36 1997 Chrysler Town & Country

This code ....If it is a P0036..It means HO2S Bank1 Sensor 2 heater circuit.....This is probably stating you may have a heater vent door inside of dash that is stuck or perhaps broken....This type vehicle has been known for these issues.....Or it could be a simple wiring issue or even a false code....I would take it to a dealer...Or disconnect battery then reconnect and the code will reset itself...If it comes on again have it checked...Brooks

Wont start

If it's making clicking noise then that sounds and means that it's the starter... Nothing else makes it click when turning the key, then the starter... If it was the Alternator it wouldn't hold the charge... You could try with jumper cables to turn it on then removing the negative terminal from the battery... If it turns off then it's the Alternator... Those are two possible solutions... Keep with the updates.

Chrysler Voyager 1997 MANUAL transmission

A shop manual will tell you what size wrench or socket to use and your owners manual will tell you what oil to use. If you have no manual available, call your auto parts store and they can look it up for you. It will vary by year and transmission.

How do i find the pump pressure switch

Fuel pump pressure is regulated by the pumps themselves. They are located inside of the gas tank. Usually low pressure is an indicator, first, of a clogged fuel filter. Follow fuel line from tank and find fuel filter, often located along lower body. More specific information can be had from you specific service manual . Usually Available at any auto parts store.
