I have a 1996 Concorde with the 3.5 L EGJ V6

Sounds like the alternator is not fully charging the battery -- could be faulty alternator (including faulty voltage regulator), or just bad connections between battery / alternator / ground.

More info, please let me know.

The fuse box is located in the instrument panel driver's side, where the door closes. Just pull open the compartment door. The fuse layout is printed on the door.

The theft deterrent is not

If the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button under the dash on the driver side. If it' an aftermarket alarm, you should be able to have it removed. There is a way to bypass the factory alarm. There is a wiring harness in the driver's door. You will have to remove the door panel to find it. The wire is dark green and purple. Splice into that wire and ground it to the chassis and the alarm should no longer work.

I have a 1996 concorde,

Hello, I have worked on quite a few of these cars and it sounds more like the crank sensor to me. This was a pretty common problem that would cause this. The crank sensor is located underneath the car on the passenger side in the side of the transmission right where the transmission and engine meet. There is a three wire plug that is plugged into it and is held in by a single bolt with a 10 mm head on it. The part is $50- $80 at the parts store. 4 thumbs up is appreciated if this helps.

How to remove the starter

Welcome to Fixya

Here's the procedure on how to replace/remove the starter.

#1
Loosen the negative battery terminal on the car and pull the terminal away from the battery. Place the wheel chocks behind the rear tires.

#2
Jack the car using the automobile jack and place a jack stand under the frame near the jacking point. Raise the jack stand to the frame.

#3
Remove the three bolts that hold the starter to the engine using a socket and ratchet. Remove the starter away from the engine so you can gain access to the wires.

#4
Remove the main wire from the starter using a wrench to remove the nut and then unplug the wire harness.

#5
Pull the old starter away from the engine and put the new one into place. Reconnect the wires by plugging the wiring harness back in and securing the main wire back to the post, tightening the nut with a wrench.

#6
Push the starter into place on the engine and start all three bolts by hand. Tighten the bolts using a socket and ratchet.

#7
Remove the jack stand from under the car and lower the car back to the ground. Start the car to test the installation.

Have a 1995 concorde lx

Hello Mohon.

You do not need to remove the axle nut.
Rotors often will need a little help to remove on this car, I wish they did slip off :)
The inside of the rotor is stuck on the hub flange. This occurs due to rust buildup on the rotor and it seizes it on.
Tap with a hammer all around the rotor to break the rust free.
I have had to heat them with a welding torch on occasion to get them loose, but my shop is in an area where road salt is used.

After you get them off, make sure you remove any rust buildup from the hub flange.
Any debris will make your brake rotor not run true and possibly cause a vibration.
Also a good idea is to coat the hub flange with a wipe of grease with a shop cloth. Just enough to wet the surface, not too much as it may contaminate the new brakes.
This will aid removal next time your brakes need replacement.

I hope your repair goes well.
Best of the season to you.
Thank you for using FixYA.

Air pocket in radiator

Remove the radiator cap (the pressure cap, not the overflow tank cap) and run the engine for about 15 minutes, or about five minutes after it reaches normal temperature. This should "burp" the air out of the cooling system.

Never really mearsured one. Wouldn't think its to far, 1/4 to 3/8" because there just isn't any room to go further. If it barely opens it's bad
