Vitara misfire 1995 1.6

You can try changing the coil pack and then recheck firing order of the wires to make sure they are in correct firing order. Suggest checking the wires first before spending money on the coil pack. Let me know how you make out.

VIDEO FOR ADJUSTING IDLE 1999 SUZUKI VITARA

You don't say if its manual or auto?Looking at its age its possible the emission control valves/hoses may be blocked and it just needs a full service and these things checked by a trained person. Check the service periods and go from there. It may be that if all is correct then a person with a screwdriver is all it needs.

Where is crank shaft sensor located

old post. There are many Vitara engines, what size is yours.?the noid lamp will not work VR crank sensors.and many Halls will fail that test too, (a 10,000 ohm pull up stops that)the noid suck big time current. (if your NOID is LED, then yes it works on most HALL sensors and never VR type.the VR type has only 2 wire. the Hall has 3 or 4 wire (power)the G16 motor uses hall sensors and creates a nice square wave. any DSO can see that signal.why not say why you suspect this sensor.and the car still starts with a Dead CKP on this G16 motor.!The CKP only makes "ECU misfire work, detection" the 1995 had no such sensor. and runs.if the car will not start, then its not the CKP it\'s the CMP sensor(dead spark) (no spark? the ECU cuts all FUEL)the cam or DISSY sensor inside it is CMP.this CMP dead, causes NO Spark , no start and No fuel.the crank CKP sensor on some suz, are not hall but just a VR coiland you need scope or other very special tool (mag) to test it.on all 1999 here, our Scan tools tells you which is bad.no scan tool? P0340, 355, cranking or running.I post this to show that , it\'s best to post simptoms firstthen ask how to find out why.the first step is the CEL lamp. (what it does and the scan tool facts)or post here.http://www.fixkick.com/bbs2/Suzuki-bbs/forumdisplay.php?fid=2

I have a grand vitara with a 2.5 v6. it quit

I have one too. 04ok CMP is bad, the ECU knows so. it will not lie.the ECU monitors this sensor , it generators a fast square wave.using DC meters is FAIL.we use a scope, scopes see AC signals as they really are.The levels will be wrong or the signal cuts out, My scope cost me $200 , want to spend that much just to prove the ECU wrong?A meter (10,000 makes) will show and average , or other ways.(true rms, etc, or junk meters aplenty)a meter is going to show different voltages for different duty cycles and frequencies, some meters are so slow they see nothing. (lies) That meter is for DC, only. or if fancy you can , min max.I guess its no Fluke meter...why do that.?It can only be 3 things, Ill assume the fuses are good.it does use 12v.the CMP is bad, just as the ecu told you.the eCU sees 1 pulse missing out of 8 (or so) and BANG, DTC failure. and CMP love to fail hot.some leak oil and drown that is the oil shorts the electronics.the wires are bad,. at either end.the ECU is bad, (id bet $1000 its not)3 possible.the CMP, wires and ECU.andECU dont lie about CMP, not ever.its a key stone device, like a pace maker in a heart patient.key stone.id bet, bad cmp.find a used one. but they do fail on suzuki's hot.many have horrid heat soak issues, an the oil leak deal.i think SMP sells them and cardone 1 sells rebuilts.ever seen, rockauto D O T C O M.

SUSUKI VITARA 2008 ENGINE

Hello, I think Suzuki offered Peugeot/Citroen Diesel engines in the earlier models but started offering Renault Diesel in 2006. I believe that the gas motors were all Suzuki.
If you find that this info to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
Thanks, Gator241

Llow oil pressure

It probably has nothing to do with the water pump job. It could be that the engine has reached the age of being worn out, or the oil pressure switch may be failing. You would want to use a mechanical gauge to check actual oil pressure in the engine hot and cold.

this will take hands on test by a mech.we can not do that here, we can not do the tests, or look or wiggle things. to find it.we use a cheap electronic ear test device, to find noise and that is hands on too.
