Are the trroper and Rodeo related?
Yes, they should be. The Rodeo and Trooper LS (3.2L) definitely have the same rear calipers.
All you need to do is punch in both models on napa or autozone.com, and ensure they list the same parts.

one of the transmission speed sensors (input(TURBINE)shaft or the output shaft sensor has failed. There is usually a transmission based trouble code for this issue. You could try to go to a local autoparts store such as autozone and ask them to put their scanner on it and make note of the trouble code. If no codes are foound then I would go ahead and take it in to a transmission shop as they will have software/scan tool that will be able to pin point it mosre closely then the auto part store.
Cylinder 2 missfire detected
Get a Compression tester. Its easy to do. Remove the plug and screw this in to the spark plug hole and disable the ignition system by pulling the ECM fuse. Crank the engine for 5 seconds and stop. Check the gauge. It should show 150 psi or close to it. If it shows under that check some of the other cylinders and see if they read the same thing. If they give a better reading then you could have a bent valve, a blown head gasket or broken rings or even a hole in the piston. If your unsure then take it to a shop and have them run a compression test on it for you. And make sure you stay in the shop while they do it and see the reading for yourself.
Loud clicking from engine
Classic Trooper problem. You can get a lot of quiet(er) troublefree miles out of your Trooper with religious, regular oil changes. Isuzu is now advising the use of Mobil 1 0w30 synthetic motor oil, changed at 5000 mi intervals to quiet the lifter tapping that you're experiencing. If you're a DIYer, you can pick up 5qt jugs of this oil at Walmart for $23-$26. -Or, you can buy the basic oil change and provide your own Mobil 1 0w30 to the tech to keep the costs down.
It'll take 150-300 miles for the noise to settle down after the fresh oil change. Keep a close eye on your oil dipstick. As soon as you're coming close to a quart low, top it back up. The 3.2l motor will start tapping again when the oil level drops or is near the time to change. Forget the advice about the belt tensioner needing to be replaced. That is rarely the source of the noise. I have two Troopers, Christophe. They're the ones that aren't tapping like crazy at the traffic light. Enjoy your Troop. -Geoff
Radiator flush
many cars today do not have petcocks. Just remove lower hose from radiator to drain.
Battery is reading low voltage.
You should have your battery load tested before replacing it,Shucks,O'reilleys,Kragens and Autozone will do this for free, but it could also be your alternator,or as simple as a bad battery connection.
