Why is my2002 isuzu sputtering while accelerating

I own a 2001 IZUZU Rodeo which had the same problem. I chose to ignore this and keep on driving. This was a "bad mistake". Apparently I had been buying dirty fuel. The fuel filter was nearly blocked, the fuel pump had been damaged and a Tank Flush was required. This all meant $$$. Take your vehicle to a "RELIABLE" mechanic.

The hood latch broke. how do i get the hood open with out the latch?

grip the cable with some channel locks and give it a pull if the problem is the lever, if the latch itself (under the hood part) is the issue try to slip a sawzall blade in there and cut that ****** in half

I just bought a used 2002 Isuzu Rodeo and after

there is obviously a problem with the transmission and I would have it checked out by transmission specialist as soon as possible. It is possible to cause even further damage if you continue to use the vehicle. That will of course increase your repair bill.Regards

Diagram to show where starter is located

The starter motor is located under the truck at the rear of the engine at the transmission bell housing, it has a large cable going to it from the battery and smaller wires to the solenoid. Sorry we do not have a diagram. You must access the starter from under the truck, you can't get at it from up top at all.

What causes drive to quit while other gears work on a 2002 rodeo

Your transmission uses clutches and bands to operate in different gears as well as one way clutches. When you put it in Drive it uses a one way clutch (called an overrunning clutch) to help get moving, if this is broken your vehicle wont go but when you put it down into first a band also grabs and now it works. I imagine it works if you start off in first then manually shift it to second then drive. You should take it to a shop and have this repaired.
