Are you still with the car? If so stop texting and call a friend to come with some gasoline ( 3-5 gal. should be plenty). Put that in the tank and then turn the key on and wait for about 10 sec. then turn key off. Repeat this two mor times. Then try to start the car normaly and drive to the gas station and fill the car up. Oh and stop running out od gas!
It is making a hard
A couple things to look for. Brake pads wear over time and they have a 'squealer' that is designed to make a noise to alert the driver that the brake pads are getting low. This will sometimes remain in slight contact with the rotor while driving as well. Sometimes instead of squealing you will hear a harsher grinding noise.
It is possible that there is some sort of debris lodged in the brake assembly as well contacting the rotor.
When replacing the brakes, be sure to pay close attention the the sliders and that they are cleaned and lubricated properly as they allow the brake pad to move away from the rotor after braking.
Is there a fuse for your heating system that could go out and could make for no heat
Hi Dave,
The only fuse are for the fans for the vents. If you have no heat coming from vents when you turn the heat to max, there is a problem with the internal heat exchanger (usually located behind the glove box on most cars). Vehicles use heat from the car's cooling system, i.e. the antifreeze from the radiator- to transfer to the passenger compartment. This is why you do not get immediate heat from the vents until your engine is warm. I hope this answers your question.
2003 pt cruiser engine codes
Most check engine lights will come on due to and emission problem. Stop by Advance Auto Parts and let them read the codes. It is probably a sensor.
