The RKEM (remote keyless entry module) is the problem.
Only a DRB-III scanner can program the transmitter codes and VIN number to remedy this problem....I hope this helps.
Can not get fan to kick on the radator, i can jump it from relay but want kick on buy it self
The PCM -engine computer energizes the cooling fan relays , hi an low speed , according to information received from the coolant temp. sensor. an information programmed into the PCM . Usually around 221 degrees the PCM will energize the low speed relay . Is your car's temp . getting that high ? The best way to diagnose these types of problems is by hooking up a scan tool that can read engine sensor data parameters to see what the temp. of the engine is . Also a scan tool with bi-directional controls , this would be useful to see if the PCM can control the fans ! There could be DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM . Not all DTC'S turn on the MIL light , check engine etc..
In cold weather, why is there a delay of 2-3 minutes before it will move in drive?
Although you have not shared the mileage on this car, I am suspecting it needs transmission service.
I could say this will fix it, but honesty says it "might" fix it.
I suggest you have the fluid and filter changed.
Unfortunately, many shops today want you to do a "transmission flush". I say no.
Be very cautious, and ask around for an honest place.
There are many that will cheat you.
Some will even take your transmission all apart to "check it out" , and will not reassemble it unless you pay hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I HAVE A 2003 PT CRUISER AND THE BATTRY LIGHT IS ON NEW BATTERY NEW ALT AND THEY SAY IT IS THE VOLTAGE REG
The PT cruiser uses a field signal from the PCM to regulate the voltage. If you are not getting approximately 14 volts at the battery terminals when the engine is running, either:
- The replacement alternator is faulty.
- The generator field control signal from the PCM is faulty.
- The Fusible Link between the alternator and the Starter Motor (which is also the same electrical point as the battery positive terminal is open.
Use the diagram below and check the alternator output at the point labeled "A11 6 BK/GY" If this is 14 volts and there is not 14 volts at the battery terminals, then the Fusible link is bad. If there is no voltage or way less than 15 volts at the alternator, then the alternator or the PCM field signal is bad. Ensure the connector from the PCM is connected properly.
