Timing chain replacement

Remove everything on the front of the motor, and change the chain without the crank getting out of time with the cam. If you get it wrong, it will spit motor parts out like a baby burping up. Best done in a good service shop. If the car is front wheel drive, double the trouble.

Transmission oil (little) leaking -

Hi!!
First you got to pinpoint where the leak is coming from. Place a couple of sheets of newspaper under vehicle, wait 30 min. to an hour and look under the vehicle at the newspaper sheets, where you see transmission fluid, look up, that's where the leak is.
The most common places where the transmission leaks are:
  • Transmission fluid pan,
  • transmission cooling lines (there are 2 steel lines that carry fluid to a cooler coil in front of the radiator and back.) due to the location, going over a bump or a rock may kink, bend or puncture one of the lines.
  • Transmission front or rear seals.
You are talking about a tube, I assume you are referring to one of the cooling lines. If it is leaking at one of the terminals, usually at the transmission fluid cooler in front of the radiator, some times just tightening a little will take care of the problem. If the line is punctured, remove the line and take it to a hardware store like ACE Hardware or similar to have them install a pressure fitting. If you are to DIY, no need to remove the line. It can be done from under the vehicle. Either way, the cost of the repair will be about $10. If you take it to a Shop, God knows how much it'll be!!
Have a Merry Christmas!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Car was running great all morning, stopped to do

I think you have the answer. Sounds like a misfire, could be a bad spark plug, bad ignition coil, bad wire. Is your check engine light on?

My daughter left the lights on my 2000 honda

Can you describe how you tried to jump start it? The correct procedure is: Turn off everything on the car that needs the power. With the donor car on connect the jumper cables, negative to negative (or a good ground away from the battery to avoid sparks), then the dead positive, to the good positive. let the donor car charge your battery for some time, maybe 10-20 minutes (depending on the condition of the battery). turn off the donor car, remove the cables. DO NOT try to start the dead car while the donor car is running (Most people screw this up, when the other car starts it adds too much voltage and current to the system and one or both cars seriously damages something- usually the alternator). Repeat the procedure for a longer time (up to 30 minutes) if the first go didn't work. If your car still won't start, and you followed the procedures correctly, then it's very possible your battery is too old (is it the original? If so, it's 13 years old and needs to be replaced for sure) or in bad condition and will no longer hold a charge. It's possible you blew all your fuses too, but check the battery condition and age first.
