I left my mechanic tune up my 2005 S40 after

P0172=System Too Rich Bank 1,
This is the info that an O2 sensor is telling the computer,This would require checking out the O2 sensor,As far as the spark plug question,What he wants to order is not what the manufacturer suggest for your car.You just paying more for a fancy type racing plug.

Door locks button on key chain does not work on

Make sure you have a fresh battery. If battery is good, then the receiving module in the rear view mirror may be faulty.

And of course: make sure you have the right keys......(joke)

My 2007 Volvo S40's a/c starts ok, but after

I had the same problem with my 2005 s40. I took it into the dealer and they told me it was "A faulty AC clutch." Apparently this part turns the compressor on and off in the car or something along those lines. It was covered under my extended warranty but the total invoice cost was around 400 dollars.

Poorly electrics on volvo s40 after valet - what do I do

Check your fuses, if all are operational make sure they a seated properly. We have this type of problem, but live on a dirt road and the vibrations sometimes unseat the fuses. An easy way to check is to see if these problems go away if; when the car is running you give the fuse panel, under the glove box, a solid whack with your open hand. This is a temporary fix we utilize three of four times a year.

Changing a serpatine belt on s40 volvo

Use a rachet to relieve the tension on the idler wheel, remove old belt, install new belt using the guide, either under the hood, or from the manual. Again use the idler tension relief to finish. when the rachet is on the idler wheel it is usually used to lift wheel off belt, to relieve tension.

My 2001 Volvo S80 a/c starts ok, but after driving

no i think you may need to take it to someone with a machine to empty the gas and clean out the restrictor valve ,i think the pumice filter could be breaking up and bits are going around clogging up the valve .Unless you beleave in the magic multipurpose relay ,that controls everything and is like a gnome that hides in different places around your car so you have difficulties in locating it .and of course its covered in fairy dust but us mechanics know how to capture it and wack it with the angel MK1 hammer to make it work

I have a very loud squeak coming from my

Have your hubby take the belt off and turn the pulleys by hand to make sure the idler pulley, a/c pulley, power steering pulley, and the alternator pulley all turn reasonable free and without binding. This is the easiest way to see what's binding and causing the belt to squeal. Another thing is to check alignment of the pulleys to make sure they're all on the same plane. If not, the pulleys will squeal the belt. Most likely a pulley that's the culprit..
