2004 Volvo S40 2.4I
Unless is was the one doing the testing I can not say that it will fix the problem. I would check the fuel pressure, the fact you have a rich code (P0172) means you may have excessive fuel pressure and the sensor is reading that.I assume this is a four or six cylinder and you have only one bank of cylinders. Check the fuel pressure before you do any parts replacing.

ACE Auto Computer Exchange (1 888 664 8787)(. I have dealt with them personally on a Honda issue, no problems. Next would be a auto salvage yard. You must find one from the same model, same acc. ie. Transmission, A/c etc. etc. This is where I would look for any relays and or other electrics I needed. Most good salvage yards will even offer a warranty on the parts. Meaning, they make good on a part you buy from them for up o 30 days. Finding one in a salvage yard gives a good Idea as to how things come apart with out messing up your car, if they allow you to pull the part your self. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

Volvo S40 Trip Computer Problem
Could be a software problem if so it needs to be done by volvo dealership. If someone other than a Volvo dealer attempted it and it went wrong - there's a fair chance you could end up with a non-functioning car and a very large bill to get it working again.
Why isn't win(d)shield washer pump working?
Most of the time there is a fuse for the washer motor and it usually is in car fuse box not engine bay fuse box , but 9 times out of ten it is the washer motor at fault . Even if there is a fuse for it and it's blown it's blown for a reason
