Traction control

If you're not getting an OBD (on board diagnostic) code, and it is constantly flashing, then the system needs to be calibrated at the dealer. This occurs when you replace or disconnect/reconnect a component of the traction control system, i.e., the sensors (shared with the ABS system), to the steering wheel position sensor, or the yaw sensors, etc. If you have it calibrated and it comes back on, you've got a poor connection at one of the components. The prime suspect here is the clock spring in the steering wheel, aka "sliding contact" in the steering column behind the steering wheel. This provides power to everything in the steering wheel, inccluding the steering wheel position sensor. When this goes bad, it is tantamount to disconnecting and/or reconnecting the steering wheel position sensor. Fords are famous for sliding contact failure. Usually, you'll also have other issues with steering wheel components, such as the horn, cruise control, radio volume, air bag ("high resistence" OBD code), etc.

At 40-45 MPH it feels like the Torque converter is trying to lock

i would recommend having the transmission flushed. what usually happens is condonsation build up inside eventually becomes water in the trans. then it gets into the torque converter. eventually it destroys the torque converter.

Serpentine Belt installation

look for the belt tensioner it is normally a smooth roller holding tension on the belt get a 3/8 socket and make sure you get the right socket and use this to pulll the tensioner down and the diagram for the belt is normally under the hood somewhere and if it isn't you can either draw you a diagram how the belt came off or go to auto zone and they will print you out a diagram

Car wont move.

Could be that your linkage is broken and just looks like it is shifting or a bad tranny module or tranny but i would look at the linkage and see if it is hooked up to the tranny.

Won't go into gear!

There is a brake sensor that goes bad. Your foot has to be on the brake to go in gear, but because of the bad sensor your car doesn't know your foot is on the brake & won't let you select a gear. Ford had a recall on this before & the dealer should take care of it.

Bypass ac compressor with shorter serpentine belt 2001-02 Mercury Sable LS

Because in most cases the routing will not work without the pulley for the compressor being in use. That's why some engines have a dummy pulley available to use in place of the compressor. Not using the compressor pulley can cause the belt to drive a pulley the wrong direction, or not have the grooved side of the belt on a pulley.

I have a 2005 Sable the heater fan won't shut off even when you hit the off button

If the vehicle has auto climate control, blower fan staying on is a sign of a bad blower motor control module. They often fail in the ON position. https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/blower-motor-wont-shut-off/

Sounds to me like a switch problem The master window switch should be checked. Also check the door switches to see if they are getting voltage. Could also be bad window motors. Tests need to be done. Is there power to the power seat switch?
