2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Why are my locks working separately?

From our Pro Technician. Anonymous Mar 08, 2022 Look for broken wires inside the flex boot , black rubber boot from the body of the vehicle to divers door. That year vehicle happens a lot after you open the door a million times. Find a good local auto-electrician.

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 4.7. JUNCTION BLOCK flasher relay replacement ?

Question edited for clarity and some sentences. Question moved to Jeep sub category. The way to fix that is to go to a local auto-electrician and they will just replace the contacts in the junction box by crimping a new one to the wire, and locking it back into the junction box. You might even be able to do it yourself by bending the contacts in the socket a little with a thin blade screwdriver.

I replaced a cracked rear

  • If there are no brake lights period the check the stop switch (brake light switch)
  • This is attached to the upper part of the brake pedal itself. Should be a little wire off of it. When that goes bad the brake lights will not work at all.
  • Please note that the fuse for "brakes" is ABS only and has no bearing on the brake lights themselves working.
Regards, Tony

After a short drive my jeep wont start has power no click or crank

Read this post about a lot of electrical problems. It will give you an idea on what to look for. https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/the-famous-jeep-grand-cherokee-electrical-problem-272172/5/ When it does not crank, check to see if voltage is getting to the starter. If it is, hit the starter. If it starts , replace it.

This is the first time the engine shut engine off to cool and add water until I could get to coolant. Now the jeep will not turn over. Battery is holding charge. no leak in the radiator. Took to Autoz

When you say the jeep will not turn over, you mean that it will not crank? If that is so then you may have a bad starter or coolant may have filled a cylinder with water. Pull out the spark plugs and see if it will crank over, check to see if water comes out of the heads when cranking. If it still does not turn over, check the starter.

Try a fuel pump relay. It could be getting hot and loosing connection then resets when restarting.

Turning left results in a low pitched squeak at steering wheel

Power steering Belt or pump pulley. Could be that turning left puts more stress on your system then turning right and that's why you only hear it while turning left.
