Oil filter holder leak
make sure you dont have 2 gaskets on the oil filter, sometimes the old gasket sticks to the engine and then you place then new filter on without noticing

Lifters are knocking loudly
First make sure you have oil pressure, then I have used CD2 oil treatment with good results, it frees up sticky lifters, change oil after a week of using this.

Hi, My 96 jeep cherokee
You have a vacuum line off somewhere, or the egr valve is leaking at idol, or you have manifold vacuum hooked up to the egr valve, make sure the vacuum line going to the egr valve has no vacuum at idol, only during acceleration.

My back door doesnt lock
You dont have to replace a whole door just because it is not locking but you can have the lock repaired or replaced.
You can take the lock out and see for a possible latch issue or child lock which is on to immobilise the lock mechanism.

My 1996 Jepp Cherokee Country
It seems as though you didn't get to the point where you were in full overheat (that's good) . It would not hurt to replace the thermostat...It's not an expensive or difficult job. After replacing it, you should go over the system to make sure that all your fans are working properly and that there aren't any external obstructions to air flow (like bugs or leaves on the front side of the A/C condenser).
When re-filling the system, make sure you maintain a 50/50 mix of coolant and water and only fill with heater on high heat. Always check everything over for leaks when you have finished.
Monitor the temperature while driving to make sure there are no other problems.
Never rely on the recovery bottle to check the coolant level. I have seen some that are always full and others that run nearly empty for no real reason. Always check with the engine cooled down at the radiator itself.

I need to remove the steering column cover on 1996 jeep cherokee
Yeah- you have to remove three screws from under the steering colum cover plate. Mine were T25 Torx. It's a long hole, so you have to get a stand-alone T25 Torx driver, rather than a bit.
After that, the bottom will pop right off. To get the top off, grab the tilt adjuster and twist it counterclockwise until it comes out. Pull it out and the top cover comes right off.

The problem i have with
All cars, the first priority of an engine is to reach operating temperature. That is, high idle, low gear, whatever it takes to do it, it does it. Once it reaches temp, it runs fine. I don't know how long it is taking your jeep to get there, But I would check radiator fluids, and other stuff, just to be sure. Hope this helps.

IAM LOOKING FOR A GAS FLOAT FOR MY 1996 JEEP
Floats come as part of a carburetor kit from your local parts store, if that's what you're looking for. Try Pep Boys, Advance Auto, Autozone, or other aftermarket auto parts stores.
