No, the ignition coil has nothing to do with fuel pump.

why not the full story? it ran ok, but misfires, so decided to do a real tune up, yes? or is this a new engine, we can not guess context ,only you can say it. no spark at coil? all spark plugs dead. but i bet you dont know about ASD. and takes 2 people to check spark because 1 person can not turn the key and see spark by him self. and it can only last for 3 seconds so test 1 is no coil spark is. check that the ASD pulls in. does it? if not fix that. if it does, do you get spark for 3second then ends as ASD drops? bingo fix that. this page shows how all works, and to use the DTC errors for clues. big clues. http://www.fixkick.com/Jeeps/ASD.html

wont crank or wont start, no car starts (cept my M/t) unless cranked with the starter motor. the starter motor starts the engine. so which is it, not cranking? also there is a Immobilizer (SKIM) lamp that must not be on , cranking or its will not start. by design. this is correct. the CEL lamp glowing tells you 2 things EFI is now active and the (ECU/PCM) just passed the basic test. if its slow? to come on , the fuses for it are loose/bad or the battery is weak. or discharged, or the key switch is failing. find any ASE shop in town and get it checked out. ASE are pro grade shops. that are honest and very skilled.

the stock car , using stock tires, , the drivers door shows this.if not stock tires and using other size tires.that sticker is USELESS, bingo, you are the engineer now. and yes you need the factory tire datasheet and pressure loading charts.for that ask at GooD year, you will need the EXACT tire, type , make, model and size,each tire type is DIFFERENT.if you dont do this and use too much pressure the tires WILL CROWN and skid. a danger to you and me on the road with you.there are 2 ways, to do this.

1. use the real table for your TIRE
2. or the the foot print tests. (white chock the tread? trick ,ask)

best pressure is based on total weight on each tire.that is a hard cold fact.what you do is, inflate the tire so the foot print is flatnot crowned or cupped.fact.ASK the maker because they change tire designs like skirt lengths.match what you have with the correct table.ask GOODYEAR, direct.i have it for my tires. on my jeep.and my jap jeep.

First check the oil level in your gearbox.
Refresh the oil if it's not clear and red tinted.

Give it a try. If it isn't fixed, you'll have to send the gearbox to a specialised revision company. You'll have an problem in the hydraulic valves of the gearbox, unsolvable if you haven't the right tools and testbench...

Check fuses for instrument panel and turn signals owners manual will have description of which fuse controls what light, are turn lights working on outside of vehicle?

the dash display tells you why, it will show door open if car has evics option, it tells you what door. but in all cases the scan tool connected, tells you what door fails. buy one, rent one, or barrow one. or get it scanned, .

close your eyes. picture a pcm. now picture a ckp(crank sensor) at the bellhousing. now picture a u-tube video about howto test a crank sensor, jeep grand cherokee. now picture a "fluke" test meter or equivalent. or picture a towtruck taking it to the jeep dealer to get your pcm out of sleep mode by a drbIII scantool and run the tests to diagnose

my guess... is car is 4wd not AWD, like my wrangler and non go back to 2wd from 4wd if car is sitting on dry pavement. you never stated road conditions ,so i guess at dry road and not offroad. Partime 4wd is only for ICE or offroad, if you read the lost operators guide it tell you that. the solution (TSB subject) is to drive to dirt and switch to 2wd. if no dirt, jog car in a straight line, and try , forward the back the try. or jackup one wheel. and try. its locked in to 4wd due to WINDUP, (bad driving) post on 1000s of forums and here 100 times. http://www.fixkick.com/part-time-test.html

It sounds like your clutch bearing has gone they are usually on a pendulum system it screeches before it starts to go. Best get it checked.
