no response soso less1:will it slip parked, idling, in drive,footon brake,? then advance throttle and see like 2000rpm but fails and goes why higher?that is the stall test failing,2:fail in reverse, parked?fail only movinggee,,,, can you say more than SLIP?

I had the trooper in for an oil change and emmissions check. Next day, it almost stalled. After a couple trips, it started to stall every time it stopped and I tried to start up again. Turned out, the tubing coming out of the MAF has a hose clamp around it. That hose clamp could freely spin around. I tightened it up. The truck started running better. And after 3-4 trips, the codes cleared themselves. Reading about it, there are a lot more causes, but this was apparently mine. IDK why it was loose. Something at the inspection place. Maybe they did it on purpose because they wanted nearly $80 to replace the fuel filter (a $10 part) and I refused.

why ask us. sure they are incompetent? asking for a blind 2nd opinion? wow. the sender can be tested on car, or tank of floor or sender in hand using any $10 DMM meter ever sold (ohms) the service manual shows how, if They can read, RTM all books sold on all cars tell this, the dash meter too is tested in a very simple way, ask/

the TOD, system needs diagnois the SM covers that, i can paste the whole TOD chapters here. log in to mitchells, and read. google mitichell DIY. the system is complex, it slips a magic clutch to simulate a center differential gear that is not there.

I would suggest a three foot wobbly extension with the proper size socket for then upper bolts.

all A/T trans have and inspection port on the trans bell lower. this allows you to remove said , flex plate bolts.. 2wd or 4wd. i guess you are lost at this step here, in red circle. it says flywheel under covers off... see that?

check the connection/wires on the oil pressure sensor this unit reports a loss of oil pressure to the ECM which will turn off the engine a faulty connection makes it report intermittently all this if you have no unusual noises from the engine

4JX1 diesel engine has a belt . 4JGE is a different engine completely. To change it set #1 on tdc fireing stroke using the mark on the back lip of the crank pulley (sit it at 12'oclock) and see the mark on the camshaft bearing matches the notch on the pulley .Ignore the marks on the lower belt pulley.
Tensioner and cover removal/replacement is standard and the chnage period is 60,000 miles.

nice double postand again no country stated, for this diesel.you posted USA forum, and i think we dont have your car here.so , that means no books, here covering this car or engine.the books is sizes of NY telephone book on howto FIX any A/T trans,watch youtube, ? some run 20 or 30 hours ,all parts.buy a book on it, read the complexity there>?no body will post, hot to fix one here, it be a wall of text, endless. (like asking how to fly to the moon )ill answer better on your other better post.

post #2 by you, on a 99 Diesel.again posting to USA forum with non usa car, right?>we dont have that diesel here. nor the matching trans, here.that means no books, nor listings in Mitchells covering it. zero , nada.why not be the first if millions to post country your car resides, (best is where bought new country)our USA car has only the 3.5L 6ve1w engine. gas.sorry,now that trans, answering in pure blind generic mode.1: check all fuses. first.2: check fluid levels in the box, using correct method, in your book (oper,guide)3: get the transmission filter changed, and full flush.4: On usa cars we have OBD2 and can scan the PCM and see all Transmission errors, in your country if not a clue. but it can be scanned, i bet.EOBD is Europe tool.next time when posting in GREEN-go land post country first and make it a WIN/WIN=.

is car in USA?did you check fuses first.did you , scan it 2nd. if not fail.the ECU will tell you why it wont start. in many cases.the eCU cuts fuel for 3 or 4 reasons.im not going to list them its true on all EFI gas cars here.no ENGINE stated, so we must guess your engine.how>? ok ill guess gas (petrol)the tune up is new spark parts and filters. ever think to do a tuneup now that it wont start? ID scan it first.then check fuel pressure,omg it zero and filter is packed in rust.or? diesel or even red fungus. not posting the engine, in car is a fail fail.a win/win is we dont guess, and you win.3.5L v6?6VE1 engine, ever put on a new timing belt ever>?i can slip, and of does, starting fails or gross power loss if it did.or fuel pressure very low.or guess what the scan tool told you what was wrongabout you failed to look.like most here, afraid of scanning,why, not a clue.the tool is less than 1hr, shop laborso is really free.an 2nd use, earns hard cash.

No, to the best of my knowledge, there is not an access hatch in the back. You can drop the fuel tank and do the repair or cut an access hole for yourself, and that isn't as hard as it sounds: PlanetIsuzoo com Isuzu SUV Club

2nd post same as first then posts displacement. ok so its the 3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4 so its a turbo, right, kinda forgot that? matters... then fails to post a photo, we are blind lacking a photos and there are what 10gillion CELL phones now with cameras. not a rare thing, today... its every where. is it 4wd is the sensor on the automatic trans or on the transfer case. we cant guess that either..???? or is it a stick. ??????????? main trans....

no photos no joy we can;t guess engines or your country, is this in canada? engines. 3.2 L 6VD1 SOHC V6 3.2 L 6VD1 DOHC V6 3.5 L 6VE1 DOHC V6 3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4 3.1 L 4JG2 TD I4 is car A/t trans, or stick is it 4wd? we can not guess drive trains, ever.... (1 in 1000 sure) not this car.

got the PT 4wd system? or the TOD system.? left dash cluster, see graphic of wheels etc.? that is TOD we cant guess drive lines here. all are optional day one made in Japan. if part time , its for ice only or offroad, never dry pavement. are you? on dry pavement? cant guess that either.

Answering for ENGINE will not Crank !Or the starter motor is SILENT !Is the IMMoblizer lamp in dash telling you why?good questions, sure it can.!all electrics on cars are fused, (cept starter main)lets for get the engine, (for now)by no lights? that mean head lights are both dead? (if yes we fix this first) {easy}head lights work key off, so..... is panic fail, prime failure mode.if you meant the cluster lamps only, why not say so?if the HL are out, the battery is dead or its cables are rusted (4 ends)or fuse blow out in main box. if the cluster lamps are dead and for sure the CEL lamp? then the ECU has no power, and engine will never run with that dead. or IMMO lamp stuck on.CEL = check engine light if , out,key on, the ECU has zero power.the radio is dead , is one more prime failure.head lights win that argument.. but i'd bet cab fuse box are dead due to PCD box under hood dead.So, open hood, see the PDC (main fuse box)?you check battery voltage with neg lead of meter to body metal.it reads:12.6 vdc or more rested is a charged battery,. $10 meter at walfart works.if not, bingo. bad battery cables or ground. (the cables have 4 ends,and all 4 ends can rust or even be loose)so next check the voltage in the main box at all main fuses.i'd bet one fuse has 12v on one side and 0v the other is a clearly blown fuse.(there)if you need a schematic we have it.askthe symptoms are lost main power.the tests are easy. with any cheap voltmeter every made.got one?, or must we work blind?Recap:No cranks (is IMMO active?)no head lamps, fuses blown for them or mains blownCEL lamp dead in cluster key on , ECU fuses blownor cluster fuse blown.from your limited hints, id say them mains are blown.FL1 is the main fuse.got 12vdc on both sides if fuse? if not all is dead. the fuse blows, changing out the alternator not pulling battery neg lug(very common reason)
