I have a suzuki xl.7
i think you may have not put the timing right if you have changed the head gasket or removed the timing, make sure all timing is lined up on timing marks cams and the crank. adjust till they line up using piston number one as top dead. turn engine by hand (spanner on crank) and make sure they line up each time it goes to top dead on number 1.
Suzuki 2005 XL7 AIRBAG DOES NOT TURN OFF.What can be thy problem? Also horn stopped working.Is there any way this can be fixed.

guessing does not work, sure inspection for damage wires
but Airbags are dangerous. news flash 22 killed in last few years. from bags, TAKATA?

horn dead:
bad fuse "horn"
bad horn relay (if fitted, i didnt look)
bad horn
bad ground on horn (base rusty to frame) big time common.
bad wiring to horn.
bad horn button.
we use a magical tool called voltmeter to find it.,
ask if willing to test and not guess.

How can I access bottom bolt on alternator?
you posted many timesand not one time stated whats wrong. what jobor what got you doing all this.i have posted to you now, all 22 steps just for the belt, onces thats done the altenator simply unbolts.you never said what stops you,we can not magically see how far you gotor what steps you skipped in the 11 stepsjust to get off the belt.
Key turns goes in gears but will not try to start steering will not lock
ok, what transmission you got?
mines a Manual trans (stick ) is yours. you said GEAR
so that implies you shifted it, and not IT shifting it for you. (auto)
battery =bat, full as in charged to 12.6vdc rested?
for get steering locks for now, lets work key on position.
first off: do head lights work?> not dim
keyon,, do all warning lamps glow, now, they must this is self test on them.
does the CEL glow,? check engine light , if not fuses blown to PCM.
is the Immoblizer light glowing< yes, then you HAVE THAT.
so depress the clutch pedal (gears in neutral on stick)
this allows the starter to work.
you turn the key and the starter spins fast and so does
engine crank shaft, does it?

The ECM performs a test for misalignment between both camshafts on one bank of the engine and the crankshaft. During the test the ECM learns the position of the camshafts and the crankshaft. While the engine is idling, the ECM compares the position of both the camshafts and the crankshaft with the learned value. The ECM
will set the P0008 code if both learned values for one bank of the
engine are exceeding a calibrated threshold in the same direction.

same as all cars
1: battery neg lug removed, tied back. (or boom happens)
2: remove all wires to starter, solenoid.and starter.
3: unbolt starter (nuts and bolts on base)
4: starter falls to earth.
reverse above to replace.
Where is the power relay switch on a 2005 suzuki xl7
dead battery.
charge it,
if it drains again, you have dark current,
did you try a jumper cable start,? if not why not?
tell you if battery is dishcharged, in 5min work.
starts ok battery was low
no starts, blow fuses. or lots more.
no crank is the correct post here. with dead HL.
head lights work keys in pocket by law.
so is the #1 symptoms. and a dead cluster. (unstated)
