What are the probable causes of recurrent DTC P0302?

Check the compression on the cylinder. Compare it to specs and to the other cylinders. If the compression is too low, it can cause misfiring. Low compression could be due to piston ring wear, cylinder wall wear, or improper valve seating.

I have a volvo v90 the engine stopped running and an arrow pointing up came on in the dash lights

try the simple stuff first. check the battery. are the connections tight. Does the car start with a jump? if it does,Problem is your battery. If it still does not crank, the problem is related to the starter it self. Bad connection or even a bad starter

Drivers door won't open from outside

remove door panel, peel back water barrier on top left side, remove 10mm bolt on back of door handle,in top of door jam remove 10mm bolt and Phillips screw right below bolt, carefully pull out door handle and remove rod from it,contact Volu parts in Atlanta Ga at 1-888-280-4057 and order white plastic pivot arm, they will know what you need. remove metal drift pin from handle by squeezing with pliers lightly!!! and pulling remember most handle parts are plastic and old be careful. the only door handle new is OEM and over 100.00 and you have to paint to match car.

Growling noise from the engine

My guess would be a failing bearing in one of the pulleys. You could remove the serpentine belt and check the pulleys one at a time to see if you can find the bad bearing.

I can turn the radio on on my Volvo S90. Could you

this is done by using het radios preset buttons. usually when you turn the car on the display will read "CODE". Simply type in your 4 digit code that is on the little white plastic card that came with your Volvo. (If you do not have this the dealership will they usually provide this information over the phone, but in some cases you need to bring them the car. I would have my VIN# and Radio ID# (its on the top of the radio itself) ready also to prevent the dealership from taking me for a labor rate for obtaining the ID themselves.

**If your radio is not in the "CODE" setting and is reading "OFF" then you have 2 options. you can either leave the car ignition in the 1st position (that is the first "click" when turning hte key) for about 2-3hours. or you can try pulling the fuse (#7 in most models) and then retrying the rasio code.

Good luck and don't forget to rate....

Remote for Volvo V90 1998

folks are selling used remotes for all cars on eBay. they run about 10 bucks, they are higher on a volvo, but that is at it should be. I would agree that to repair the thing would have to sent out and would cost even more to repair than a new one costs. get a used remote and have them teach your car to "know" its new remote, in the biblical sense. if the car's receiver is bad then you are going to have to search on ebay until you find someone selling a used one, buy it and have it installed. there are a lot of folks selling used parts on eBay, their hobby is to scavenge junkyards for parts. So find a seller who is selling volvo parts and email him telling him what you want and he will go find one for you and give you a price.

Hi...I would just like to know what each symbol

A square bucket with water waves in the lower half with a fan in the center denotes or represents the coolant radiator.

This symbol comes on when the radiator water is low or when there is an issue with the radiator or radiator fan.

Simulate the car by parking close to a wall with the gear on park and the car running. Open the hood and take note if the radiator fan is rolling or if the radiator water is leaking.

Be careful not to open the radiator cap.

Good luck.
