My 2005 jeep liberty over heats, any solutions
check to see if you have a viscous fan hub and if so then replace it . Check when the overheating occurs If it is at stop lights but cools down when travelling. It is the hub. If it overheats when going slow and under load it will be the hub. If it overheats when travelling fast then check the radiator for core blockage and have a compression test done to check for head gasket / cracks Run fault codes and check for blocked exhaust system --cat converter)

Where is the cooling sensor located
which one of the 3.
my guess is the ECT.
the ENGINE coolant sensor. (not a/c over heat or climate controls)
nobody can answer this because all cars come with more than one engine, (its an option, new)
on most cars, not all its very near the ENGINE THERMOSTAT
Sig: I must ask questions first, I'm blind, and my tools can't reach, dig?

Location of shift solenoid
the A/t tranny.
that depend on what tranny. and if Diesel engine.
there are 3. pick one.? we cant do that.
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Jeep_Liberty/Transmissions
99% are inside tranny on the valve body.
some are top of valve body , hard to reach
most are bottom easy.
no tranny stated , no answer. (ever seen and FSM? ask the dealer)
or log in to alldata.com, they will ask the same silly question, what tranny. for most cars. made.
for you,. i looked.(i have lots of jeep data) a jeep nut , long time 1988 to now.
42RLE (wild guess1) used on VIN? engine code 5 and K.?
the 42 looks like this (google is a friend for sure)
part id 14 is here, note how you can all by sell see all parts in the
car, this is true for all cars. just go to the dealer page an look at parts tab.
http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=4252179&ukey_assembly=666096&ukey_make=1064&ukey_model=15531&ukey_driveline=7447&ukey_trimlevel=0&modelYear=2006
never buy any tranny part until you
1: check the VIN engine and tranny codes.
2: read the side plate on tranny to see TRUE model, even SERIAL
then buy parts. for fail, and most are not returnable.
