Check the wires at the back of the harness plug for any breaks. Some times they break inside the coating, so pull on them. If they stretch, it broke.

so why not do some simple tests first, start engine., turn on A/C the blower must blow or there will be no A;/C at all, zero. the compression (on engine) its main shaft must turn and belt not slip, ignore clutch in front, just the main shaft, if the shaft does not turn, then the clutch is dis-engaged. the mech has no jeep scan tool (cheap guy) so he sent you to jeep. if you have a volt meter, the meter will read 12vdc on both sides of the Hi/lo pressure loop switch , near receiver dryer. called the pressure transducer. if the voltage is not 12v on once side that means the switch is tripped. and cause obvious (freon too much, or too low) the PCM in the car controls the a/C too, and will cut A/C for up to 8 reasons, (more each year , it seems) so you scan it to see if there are REASONS, called DTC errors. scan it, or get it scanned. the PCM controls the clutch relay, if the relay is bad so will be A/C if the PCM does not put 12vdc tot he relay coil, the problem is not the relay but the PCM is do so on PURPOSE ask for the 8 reasons or get it serviced one cause is engine overheat, real or fibbing ECT sensors. not scanning it , is the fail deal. (no win)

which engine?, , please avoid spanish here, its a USA english forum. p07 codes, are transmission. p0204 is mostly.... the codes are just tests that fail. and a tech, sees the words in the FSM that tell him what tests need to be done by humans to find true cause. see? the tests is for injectors and the causes are , listed (F142) ASD RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT (K14) INJECTOR CONTROL NO.4 CIRCUIT OPEN (K14) INJECTOR CONTROL NO.4 CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND FUEL INJECTOR PCM first id look for bad injector 4 wires. then pull connector and see if OHMS (resistances) of coil pins' is wrong (try other injector and compare them) 0 ohms shorted infinity is open oil if resistance is not near others, its burned up. damaged. keep in mind coils can be partial shorts. do to the windings damaged. like all coils can do, or motors.

Hi Kenneth,does that connector go to the antenna that surrounds the ignition barrel? You need it to disable the immobiliser.

Your door switch or relay is defective.

If you are referring to your 4X4 shifter not engaging 4 wheel drive, then it could possibly be a blown fuse. Check your fuse box cover for the appropriate fuse and see if it's blown. If so, then go ahead and replace it with the correct fuse. Don't use a lower amperage fuse, it will probably blow even faster, and DO NOT use a higher amperage fuse, that can cause a fire. Then monitor it over the next week or so to see if it stops working again. If it does then it should be taken into your dealership for inspection and service. Fuses tend to blow for a reason, and if it's continually blowing a fuse, then there is probably a short in the system some place. Good luck with it.

we scan it using a real scan tool.. to see ALL jeep DTC codes. all of them , not just 1. so....... or its all just a dog chase tail ,side show.

IOD stands for, ignition off draw. If your going to store your vehicle or not use it for long periods of time then pull this fuse. It helps you keep from having a dead battery. It removes power from unnecessary accessories .

dealer scanned? with there fancy tool>? if not you may fail. the transmission needs full scans not autozoned, did you ask the dealer if there are transmission TSB updates new update transmission programs? y/n.? so how do you know that switch is bad, ? no engine stated, not even gas or diesel. 42RLE trans? no symptoms stated. just asking (vague parts) ok there are 4 factors here. and more.

1. whats really bad. (parts) (did you prove it bad and test it yet?)
2. cost of parts.
3. labor costs (vary all over earth , no country or town stated)
4. and other related damage, collision or rust.

the switch is bad. replace it is an option.

this is a feature, on A/T cars. for vast years, !!! my jeep is M/T and has no such thing, but A/T has this. This feature, prevents starting in GEAR. called park lock out, so the Audi lady can't drive over her kids, ( really sad huh?) Called BTSI: by jeep. this feature does, not stop starts/crankikng. unless, the shifter is not placed in park or neutral. (this feature blocks cranking in any gear) so i must guess, its in park, engine is running, right? and your foot, is on the brake, and the brake lights do glow behind car, if not the park lock will stay locked. if you need a schematic, i can send it. some cars there is a park lock out bypass so you can drive with no brake lights.
