2002 Liberty Fuel Gauge Not Working
It may be possible to get instrument cluster to do a self-test? If you want to try this to rule out instrument cluster.
Press and hold odometer reset button, turn key from off to run, run is where the dash lites come on. Any stored 3-digit codes will be displayed in the odometer vf display. The vf display will perform a sequential segment test. All indicators, data controlled, will illuminate. All gauges will cycle in 12.5% or 15% increments. The cluster will automatically exit self-test. The self test does not verify serial data stream. The cluster internally commands all non-hardwired gauges and indicators to operate. The fuel level sending unit sends info to pcm then pcm sends data to instrument cluster.
I don't know if that self-test will work on your vehicle? It won't hurt to try. If all the gages cycle except fuel gage, then I suspect the instrument cluster. You can call around different shops, get an estimate for the repair.

2003 Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) air con
You most likely have a problem with a part called the air temperature control blend door, it controls the air flow across the AC core or heater core, it is most likely warped or the motor that operates it is defective or in most cases both are in need of replacing. This repair requires the entire dash be removed to access the AC parts.

2002 Jeep liberty overheating with a/c on then blows hot air
so the RAD is going to be good with leaks that it?
it has to hold pressure or it will get too hot,
14psi pressure,
I take my IR heat gun and check all rad tubes
top and bottom
and find, 3 are not 50 degree, drop end to end read same
those 3 are clogged, now you have 2 reasons to replace that bad rad.
something smokes, what?
it dont overheat parked, what is outdoor temp, 75f like here or 0F?
it must overheat idling, if it does moving.
how fan it not?
wont overheat A/C OFF you said.
so its marginal
ether rad tubes clogged
or fans dead,
one or both.

Heat works sometimes, jeep is running hot
Look for a vacuum leak. There are numerous vacuum hoses that lead from the intake manifold to the firewall. These hoses provide the vacuum necessary to switch the blower doors to the heat and vent position. It is most likely a loose or cracked hose because the vacuum pulled by the engine is higher when driving, and at its lowest when parked or neutral. This will make it work when driving but not when stopped. If all vacuum hoses in engine compartment are ok, you may have an internal vacuum leak inside the dash or from the controls, this will be harder to find without taking the dash apart. But, the common culprit is the vacuum hoses in the engine compartment since they are always always exposed to extreme cold or heat and rain or snow, which breaks them down over time. If the vacuum hoses even look a little suspect, start changing all of them so you kill any possibility of other problems, as the brake booster is also run on vacuum.
