check the engine coolant temp sensor

lost the operators guide. the dash lamps are explained in them all. all cars. warning lamps. (IMMoblizer, or SKIM) car came new with 2 keys, try the 2nd yet, if no second, key then this is inevitable. seen the lamp here. http://www.fixkick.com/Jeeps/SKIM.html we get that lamp. wecheck fusesuse the 2nd key (i keep 3 working all the time,.....)check battery not weak, 12.6vdc rested is good.scan the PCM to see why, any scan tool can see this. scans key bad, see #2 abovescans can bus errors, get help, at any ASE shop.scan skim box dead. etc.... same. there i posted it again. 2002 Grand.see that lamp there???? When you post a question please make sure you add make model and year this will help determine a more accurate response. However if it turns over and does not start it is likely the crankshaft sensor or lack of fuel getting to the carburetor or injectors.

New parts can be bad, so don't assume they are not. Sounds to me as if the sensor may still be bad, or the wiring has a faulty ground. Get a wiring diagram if necessary, but be sure to check the grounds.

sure it wont, the lamp on, you fail in 1second flat all cars usa, 1996+ same story. older are sniff tested, a whole other long story. so step one is to scan it. ever heard of a stand, obd2 , usa scan tool scan, and see thosE DTC errors? we can work them but not with out a scan, will never happen. why not get car serviced, like the thundering masses.. ask a shop to just scan it. many do for free, ever even asked one? ask around., , not here, we cant scan your car. eva.

well gee, there are 50 reasons.did you scan the PCM yet, if not ,why not?when the idle surges, that means.NO RPM ranges stated, if super low rpm check EGR.1: engine lean and ISC dead, or cant handle the huge engine power drop..The PCM can even make this worse!, buy hunting the ISC to find spec, idle and failing... to...2: or any of 50 other things causing huge engine power drop and PCM can't maintain idle controls.super lean burn.(bogging)super rich burn, misfire for 50 reasons.i cant hear your engine,nor feel it, or see it shake from gross misfiring.no can i drive it and see/feel power loss,can I?asking net bunny's this (blind as bats)is "OVER THE TOP" no?so here , ill toss the dice for youand guess gross misfiring.ever get a tuneup this decade, if not bingo , no?and the others... http://jeepdied.com/Misfire101.htmllink even has the 50 cause list, to show the futility of guessing!we do 1 to 10 tests. and find it.for sure.as you can see EFI systems are complex.gue$$ is not only expensive but can net you 2 problems easy.

the relay is dirt cheap at the store (8-12 dollars), the relay is easy to find. on top of the engine area back near the firewall is a small to medium sized black box with a snap up lid...there are relays just sitting inside of it, you want the one with 3 prongs going across the bottom and 2 prongs going front to back on the bottom. it's a big square piece that just pulls out. the wiper fuse is kinda a pain to get to busy easy to replace... it's a really big silver metal cased fuse on your fusebox closest to the floor... be careful because if the wiper fuse is bad, it may be hot as hell to touch so take care when grabbing it. any auto store will have one. if neither of these fixes work then you need to check the motor wheel that connects to the wiper arm rods under the vents where the washer lines run down from the arms... sometimes the pins that connect the arms to the wheel snap off which make the wipers stop. worst case is the motor itself went bad. hope this helps

cruise is last. the brains in the car dont allow this dangerous device to run, if things are bad. (even dead brake lights) imagine cruise control out of control for a moment or with grand ma driving? same with over-drive. so what is wrong. well 1 simple answer you failed to scan the PCM, and see those errors, causing those symptoms. scan it get it scanned win.

stock size tires, we cant look , only you can.... if still stock, the door jam sticker on all usa cars shows those facts. all do by LAW. as does the oper guide, lost that too? car repainted,?

check fuses.then scan it.the scan tool will in fact tell you what the trans is stuckThe PCM shifts the gears, so if it cant, it complains big time.those are called DTC errors.all shops in town can scan, or you can buy one and DIY.on all modern cars. 96+at 25mph 2nd should happen.if not, the trans will log, DTC errors. for it.but it's best to scan and see all errors.there are are other issues, limphome on engine and transmission.but the DTC errors show that too.
