In what part of the car is the ac fan relay located?

Check under the hood----there's a big fuse box that also contains relays for various components and more then likely it's there----also check your owners manual for fuse/relay location----in addition there's a relay block next to the fuse box on some vehicles----not busting on you by why do you think it's the relay---others things can contribute to the fan not working---switches---low refrigerant----vacuum control switch (leak in vacuum line) etc etc

Why would the motor stall when put in gear motor has been rebuilt and has new plugs

Check your throttle body on the intake for carbon buildup. Open the hose to the intake inlet and check that plate that moves when you depress the gas pedal (while not running). Clean debris with damp washcloth, not soaking wet. If a lot of debris the idle air control valve, and chamber will need cleaned.

2001 jeep grand Cherokee 4wd won't start after replacing fuel filter

If it ran prior to the filter replacement, it will most likely be a filter issue. Installed backwards? You have to allow fuel pressure to build back up and fill the new filter before it will start. You can try cranking the engine while applying the gas pedal slightly to see if it will start

Can anti theft be disabled

No it can't. On yours, it is most likely a door latch. Fobs will bypass the latch, but you have to have one.

Program keys

If your keys are grey than they have to be programmed at a Jeep dealer. If you keys are black they do not need to be programmed. A good locksmith may also be able to help you with this. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa

How to disable alarm?

does it crank or not.????? the IMMObilizer on this car does NOT cut cranking . it cuts fuel (then spark) it only prevents running.... so what is next, easy! is the IMMO lamp off in dash? do say what step fails.
  1. you insert the key.
  2. turn to ign, on.
  3. the CEL glows (dash and the immo glows and goes out)
  4. the IMMo must not flash. (or see"NOkey" in dash)
  5. if the IMMo does not go out, it will never start (by design)
  6. it might run 2 seconds, but that is of on concern... it needs run to drive.
here are some SKIM /SKIS (IMMO) features http://www.fixkick.com/Jeeps/SKIM.html what is lamp 12 doing in the photo. on your car.? the lamp location varies by year, and model jeep. the operators guide tell you where it is..

Where is the fuse for the power windows

There isn't one, just a circuit breaker. If one window works or you hear noise, it is good. Jeeps are notorious for bad window regulators. They come with the motor.

What is the code to reset computer when battery disconnected?

When the anti theft system was created, the dealers forgot to tell the new car buyers about how much the fob matters to the vehicle, without it,owners are stuck, your anti theft device is activated, you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob, call your car dealer to get a new one, they are programmed for each car only, you cannot bypass it.if you lost your fob or never had it,whatever, you need to have the exact fob that came with that car from the factory, the key and fob have a chip in them that only go to that certain car,if you do not have it,then you need to buy a new one from the dealer or ebay and then you need to contact your dealer about programming the fob to your car,you might not have to have it towed if they have the documents from the car,the only other way is to get a junk car, with the steering column, key, fob and all computer boxes and door locks and switch them,i just did that with a 98 dodge dakota, and it works.

Shifter button not working on my 2001 jeep grand cherokee

In most cases the shifter button is controlled by a solenoid activated by a switch on the brake pedal when the pedal is depressed. If the button will not release there may be a problem with the brake pedal switch ( Do the brake lights work when the pedal is pushed? ) the shifter release solenoid or wiring. There may be an override to release the button somewhere near the shifter. Check owners manual to see if equipped with safety release button

Lift gate open light will not shut off/rear wiper will not work

that sounds like a wiring problem , i'm not sure if the wiring for the wiper is a loom that connects to the liftgate near the hinge area, or is a connector plate by the lock catch ,you will be able to see which it is as very obvious between the two systems , if is the wiring loom look for signs of wear etc , the light is usually by a button switch that is activated when opening liftgate if no button switch visable then it will most likely have a mercury switch inside the liftgate , either way will need to remove the gate interior trim to check out the problem and also you will then be able to check if the wiper motor is getting power , i should have started with check the rear wiper fuse , hope this helps

I have an 01 jeep grand cherokee, I was driving home and it fell flat on it face then picked right back up. Went on and then the tack meter went to 0 then it died.

If equipped with a 4lt engine I would suspect a crank sensor or ignition coil issue to cause this problem especially with higher mileage. You may also have a fuel delivery problem ( fuel pump ) causing this issue. Is the check engine light on? If so have the codes scanned for any crank senor problems. The crank sensor and or ignition are problamatic on these engines with high mileage

I turn the key and only get a constat clicking sound

sounds like you may have a dead battery. if your battery is dead you may want to have it tested to see if you have a bad battery. parasitic draw can drain a battery usually in a couple weeks if it isn't driven.

How do i fix this p1687 code no mechanical instrument cluster bus message?

i guess you are working FSM free (no book) on this complex car? the factory service manual tells you what the steps are..... and what the codes mean, and what checks to do .... fuses are first. reseat modules 2nd. (related) are those all DTC errors. or just 1. of many."? using what scan tool. does your tool show all jeep codes. like the Innova 3160 does.?? or is your tool 1/2 brain dead... as many are. one code. answer.....s.. first lets try to understand this code. (DTC) which engine? 4.0L or 4.7L? this error , i think does not mean both key FOBS are dead but did you try both... car came with both.????/ But.... it means the SKIM is not talking, (check all fuses with a voltmeter. not just gandering at them......????) key on, test. that be first. 12vdc on both sides of fuses, means they are really good. it can also mean the Data buss is dead. PCI buss. its called. The factory scan tool can see this data and we can see if the data is Dead, or garbled or is never even sent. you cant do that.... so...... its palm hits head moment. if you had a real scan tool , and say lots of P1, P2, or other Jeep codes about PCI buss failure, i'd suspect that PCI has problems. but if not, then just the SKIM is dead. there are 7 computers on that buss. even the RADIO and BCM if the bus has issues, the BCM will throw lots of errors. Seems to me the SKIM is bad, or both keys bad. i dont think this error is key related. but gee, you have 2, to try... and takes 5min work.... No Cluster Bus Messages Print this code data Trouble Code Conditions: Key on or engine running; and the PCM determined that it did not receive any Security Key Bus Messages over the Data Bus line for 20 seconds. This malfunction may be an intermittent problem. Possible Causes:
  • Data Bus circuit from SKIM to PCM is damaged or it is open
  • PCM unable to communicate with the Body Control Module
  • PCM has failed, or the SKIM is damaged or has failed
that is all i know on this from DIY , perspective......
