Used connector to bridge heat and AC

done so , far far from home, many times, hoses ruptured. i think you meant the heater core hoses leaked so I bypassed them with new hose. some do this on warm tropical islands and run like that for ever in fact , my first car a 1964 dodge, it was on option (heat) there are exceptions, on some cars, as the hose feeds the thermostat base in this very odd way, (rice cars) but not this car. this the 4.0L ?

While driving my Jeep will suddenly jerk and lose power for a few seconds then everything is fine. I was thinking some kind of sensor. Any ideas?

If everything is okay before and after each icidence I would suspect a fuel supply problem. Are filter and pipes all clear of detritus? Does it happen in corners, whilst accelerating or decelerating? Does it happen whilst cruising? When engine is hot or cold. Which engine do you have. Please add detail and resubmit the query

2000 jeep Cherokee 4.0 loads up with gas when engine is warm and turned off for a few minutes.i have changed temp sensor.air temp sensor both 02 sensors

How do you know it "loads up with gas" If you are having trouble restarting the car, consider doing a test of fuel pressure. If its low/zero it could be a) leaking fuel pump (known problem, there is a kit to fix) or b) leaking injector. If you suspect b, go ahead and replace all of them. Jeep will run like new...Well, change timing chain as well - its not that timing chain breaks, its that it gets too much slack and the computer gets confused.

P0443evap solenoid how I fix it

You didn't say what kind of car this is, but a P0443 code is typically a Ford code. The evap solenoid is located on the passenger side, near the firewall where the A/C filter dryer is. A vacuuum hose is connected from the solenoid to another switch called a flow sensor and then to the fuel rail.

Get an engine diagnosis before you start spending money. Could be the timing.

What type of rear end could a jeep Cherokee have? not sure on the year? Maybe 2000?

Not a dana 44 I bet. Dana 30 or 35, perhaps. If you google rear axle identification your should find a chart which reveals all.

Where is the a\c evaporator core located for jeep cherokee?

The a.c.and heater cores that you speak of are inside the cabin behind the glove box. But that's the location, to access them the whole dash must be removed. its worth replacing a few problem parts once you open up the case that holds them, like both cores and the blend door

CLUNKING NOISE FROM REAR AXLE

Problem I found: Clunk when driving over even small bumps.

If Grand Cherokee is 1999-2004, then check this: Above the differential is a wishbone cross member control arm. The cross member attaches to the frame in front of the rear axle (bolts through rubber bushings), and directly above the differential, at the apex of the cross member, is a ball joint. The ball joint assembly is a flange bolted atop the differential, with three bolts, and the ball joint pin protrudes from the flange through the cross member apex, with a nut atop the pin. Raise the frame slightly, and with a pry bar, pry above the flange, and below the cross member, very near the ball joint. If any motion is detected, then the ball joint is worn from the ball joint socket, or the nut is loose on the ball joint pin. If the nut is tight, then replace the ball joint. 2000 GC part number is 52088808AB, and is available from online sources or dealers. To replace this part, you'll probably need to remove the cross member, as the ball joint pin through the cross member is in a tight location, is tightly wedged into the cross member, and requires a special v-shaped puller to remove the pin from the cross member. If you don't have access to the puller tool, then remove the cross member for this operation. Raise vehicle slightly, under frame, in front of rear wheels. Unbolt the brake line and brake cable retainers from the cross member, then unbolt the flange from atop the differential. Then remove the two frame bolts and manipulate the cross member out of the vehicle, from above the differential.

With the cross member before you, support on blocks, loosen the ball joint nut somewhat, or remove it, and with a beater protective block, sledge out the pin from the cross member. Inspect the rubber bushings at this time. These bushings require an arbor press to remove/install, and the arbor press to install requires a spider so as to not rip the rubber bushing from either the bushing shell or center spool. The press spider is a 4-point tool you can make up from a piece of aluminum.

Bolt the new ball joint flange atop the differential, using blue thread locker, and torque the bolts to 100 ft-lb, cheater pipe useful here.

Replace the cross member to the frame, and install the two frame bolts, finger tight. Pull the member apex down onto the ball joint pin, and run the nut down. Using a box end wrench, hold the pin from rotation while tightening down the nut. Torque the nut to 100 ft-lb. Tighten the frame attachment bolts to 100 ft-lb, and reinstall the brake cable and brake line retainers. Do not over tighten these retainer bolts, as they are passing only through the sheet steel side of the cross member. Take care to not strip the sheet metal threadings. Lower vehicle and remove jack.

The button the gear selector of my 2000 Jeep Cherokee won't push in so that I can move gear selector from park to reverse

Make sure your brake lights are working, the shift interlock may not be getting signal from the brake light switch to release the shift lever. If they are working, the problem may be the shift interlock switch.

Button gear selector will not push in so I can go from park to reverse

You may get away with replacing the handle parts. Junk yard items. You might have to replace all the shifter mechanism. The handle comes off from a set screw on the front of the bottom part of the handle. There is a small hole in the handle to put an allen wrench in it to unscrew it. Sometimes the button breaks. sometimes it is in the console.
