This seems to be a common problem with later model 3.5L Trooper engines because the oil pump and oil gallery do not deliver oil as efficiently to the number 1 rod bearing.

Sounds like the condensate drain tube is clogged. What is happening is the condesation created by the evaporator core is filling up the housing and spilling into your passenger compartment. This drain tube comes out of your firewall and is usually rubber. you can try removing and cleaning it or shooting some compressed air up the tube to blow free the blockage.
