I have a 2004 Honda Civic LX Sedan. My problem

To fix the tumblers, find a trusted locksmith. That's the way I'd go. Honda does have a kit, but, it's not a consumer one. You'd spend a decent amount of money on a kit that would fix hundreds of cars, so, that's why they won't sell it to you. As for the key fob, have you tried putting a new battery in it? Your description is not very clear. The LX should have come from the factory with a key fob. So, if you got one, make sure it's the correct one with a good battery. To program it, put your key in the igntion, turn the key to position 2 (the position right before you start the car), press a button on the key fob, turn the key back to position 0, Repeat these steps over and over (about 4 to 5 times) until the doors lock/unlock. If that doesn't work, you could have a bum transmitter. If some doors are not lock/unlocking, chances are bad doorlock acuators.

2004 Honda Civic -Code P0122 Throttle Position Sensor Voltage Low

yes, this is the case of a failed throttle body, in which case it needs replaced, the car is getting too much fuel causing the high idle. this needs replaced asap. you could proably find a small independant honda shop that could do the work for less.

Fuel tank door release, 2004 Honda Civic

The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.

Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.

Honda 2004 civic turns over but wont start. starter fluid gets it going but doesnt stay cranked.. help

Hi Tara, I would crack the fuel line at the fuel rail and crank the engine, if you have fuel, you know the pump is working. If you have no fuel, check for power at the fuel pump. If there is power at the pump, you will probably need a fuel pump. Let me know if that helps, thanks.Eddie,www.simple-car-answers.com

I have a 2004 Honda Civic VTI, the engine checklight came on and I went to 3 different computer diagnostic centres and the scan showed VTEC system failure. I changed the VTEC solenoid, change vtec pre

What is wrong is that you changed a partYou failed to follow any trouble charts becauseyou have noneThe sensor was most likely okey & just doing it'sjob of reporting a faultYou could have a mechanical problem such as a timing belt issue or worn VVT Actuators on the end of the camesYou have to diagnose code related issues & then find outwhy a sensor reported as it didEven if you scoped the sensor you would most likelyassume it was bad,not so,have to keep thinking why thedata was badYou need professional tools & look at several pieces of dataoverlayed on a big sceen at one timeRepair shop or dealer for that issue

Key stuck in drivers side door on a 2004 Civic

You may have to remove the lock barrel and play with the tumblers from the inside to release the key.It is likely that your new key requires filing down slightly to match the wear of your old key before it will work.Otherwise, replace your lock barrel.
