2002 Civic trouble code P1298

Usually what causes this code is a blown fuse from the wiring harness shorted on the underside of the intake manifold. It usually rubs on the brace or the bottom of the intake and shorts out a wire and blows a fuse. Do you have any other codes? If so post them. Check this first and tell us which fuse is blown in the fuse panel.

Fuse box diagram

There are two fusebox diagrams, one is your main fuse box.

- Main Fuse Box - Pop you're hood and it will be on the left, it will have different labeled squares with amperages on it.

- Panel Fuse Box - It's on the driver side to the left of the break pedal. I'd invest in a manual I can't tell you which is which.

Undefinedas replacement on civic 98 sensor p0113

Possible causes for this code are: - Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor - Dirty air filter - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness is open or shorted - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit poor electrical connection. this code sets when: - An excessively high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM. Usual Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0113 1998 Honda Civic Description The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into mass air flow sensor or in some vehicles mounted to the air filter duct housing. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. Electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the temperature rise. The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle. 27782.png

1998 Honda Civic, Hoping you guys can help me out little more. it has proven successful in the past and i thank you. so

Timing marks are notches cut into camgear, and dots or lines cast into crank pulley. Water pump does not need to be timed. The two cam notches will line up either level with the head surface or to an arrow on the inner cover. Valve lash is set cold, one cyl. at a time. The emmissions label on the hood should provide specs, but they should be .20mm int. .25mm ex. Note the mm. Do not use .020"!! Cylinders are just 1234 from the timing belt side. Good luck

How can I repair a98 Honda Civic 4 door. Moon roof wont close all the way. Seams to be on an angle when closing. What can I do?

Can you help it along by lifting one side? Or by tugging one side down? I'm betting it has plastic slide bushings, and one has worn completely out. Getting it out & getting a replacement one in will be a challenge... there may be quite a lot to take apart & put back together.
