i have a 2006 cadillac cts and when i get gas it dont wont to start ,,i haft to keep trying to start it but when it does ,,it runs like a new one ,, help please,,

ouch! well that means yuo have to tear back into it again , the heads and oil pan and mid block bolts should have all been timecerted before you put the motor together and put it in the car otherwise there's a good chance that it will blow apart on you later again. had an eldorado with the same motor in it so been there done that

some cars have to lift engine change belt.

Have you checked fuel pressure yet ?The fuel mixture could be very lean. Could be something in the transmission too.

You can thank the Federal Govt for the Trac Control that isimbeded into the ABS Braking SystemI have that on my 2004 Lincoln LS & sorry I ordered itOn snow it cuts off injectors & slams on rear brakesTotal Waste & useless technology from my 1960'sperspective. I live in the US but grew up in Canadaso I have lots of experience in snow,more in NJ than OntI have yet to figure a way to disconnect it using the wiringdiagrams

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. Drivers side under air Box (where your air filter is) the worst part of it is fighting the air box back into place !

Transmission problem....Unless your a mechanic (assuming you arent since you came to fixya haha) thats something you'll have to take to the shop.

The engine and the automatic transmission in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine.

Have you tried to jump the battery and crank it ?Its possible the alternator failed or something happened to drain the battery.Is the security warning light on ?

should be in underhood bec (fuse box underhood ) pop cover off and should tell listing for all fuses

there should be a traction switch on the dash to shut it off when you don't want it it will reset every time you start the car the switch can say etc or trac or slip
