see if the trunk has a remote control unit,on the lock itself. if it does see if its gets power when you puch the button.

what dont start? engines. or fan what fan the dash blower or the front A/C condensor fan? show, what shows the cluster display shows VIM> next time post symtoms before the attack and then get simple tests to isolate cause. cars are easy to break, too easy, (EFI, climate controls and so one) its no 1990 BMW.

First off, are the doors actually locking? If not, you may have a door switch malfunction. The interior lights won't necessarily stay on if the switch is malfunctioning. Also, Has the battery recently died and you replaced it? I'll try to help you troubleshoot it, but I'll need a little more info from you?

hi it`ll just be a relay somewhere on the board. To test switch everything off electrical wise once the car is started...radio...aircon. heaters etc etc....then switch each one on individually to see what causes it....but its nothing to worry about.

you sure its not a brake pad wear sensor light ? possibly sliced wire or blown out during the incident
