Heater not blow air
Your blower motor resistor has gone out. I belive on an 05 Pontiac it is located under the dash behind the glove box. It is square with a plug in with wires coming out of it with 2 screws holding it in.

Although this could be a number of things, it sounds like the damper (control switch) is faulty. When you adjust the temperature in the cabin of the vehicle to be either hot/cold it should move the damper to change the temperature. This is done by vacuum in most cases. I would recommend that you start with the simplest of things and check the fuse panel making sure that the fuse for the Heat/AC system is good and making contact. If that is not the issue it could be as simple as a bad vacuum hose, a faulty damper, or a faulty temperature control switch. Speaking from experience with GM products, it is probably the damper control.

I don't know what your mechanic did it would be helpfulthere is so many things to watch. like iac valve , crankshaft sensorand so on first try to know when it happen if there is spark at spark plug wire with special tools (hei tester) it has an output of 25kvoltsand if fuel pump is workingdid a tune up have been made spark plug changehope it helps
Firing order
the firing order is make by the pcm and ignition module
I ran out of gas
Dont touch the gas pedal or it might flood and not start. Have someone spray a little starting fluid in the Air filter tube while you try to start it.
