Nothing serious, but it should probably be changed out. The ATF would dilute the gear oil. A few ounces would not matter, but a quart would not be good.

The switch is on brake pedal,easy to remove,just unplug electrical connector and remove nut holding on,Here's a link to the part,just look how far the nut is on so you can get it adjusted to where the switch is right when installing new one.

It is just a vent for the transmission. It should have a hole large enough for one of the bell housing bolts. Take a bell housing bolt out (one of the highest ones) and attach the vent to it.

Transmission can be tricky to rebuild it depend on your ability, good second hand unit always quicker and easier to fit

You need to check the brake switch and the sit on brake pedal, when the sit of the brake light switch is broken or has a hole in the middle it wont allow the to turn off the brake lights. It has to be welded or fill the hole with a small bolt.

If you have turned the lock tabs until they click in or out which ever the case may be for 4wd drive then maybe the transfer case is not selecting 4wd If it is vacuum actuated or electronic operation I would be checking their actions be for e I went any further.
