'03 GMC Denali - rear heater generates only cold air when fan is on. Is it an operator problem or is there a specific switch that needs to be set or is there a machanical problem? The air conditioning works fine and can be set to a specific temperature -- but not the heater. There is only cold air coming from the vents.
does front air work properly? for heat i mean?.. the blend doors are suspect as well as the heater hoses to the rear core and its heater valve.. possibily the control head is to blame or?, but i cant tell from here

dashboard says serive ride control and service stability
this means that you have a fault with your stability control system. the stability control is designed to prevent a rollover it detects body roll when you are driving the ride control is the air suspension sytem this keeps ride hieght the same based on how wieght is in the vehicle. check the links that connect the switches to the suspension you may have one dissconnected (these links wear out over time you night have to replace them) there is one on each wheel postion if you need anything else let me know

I have an 03 yukon denali xl. I'm getting traction active, then traction control is totally deactivated and ABS warning lights. I replaced the Drivers side abs sensor, as well as the idler and pittman arm.
When I put the new sensor the codes went away. I drove up the street, the warning lights came on again and the traction control kicked on. When i removed the sensor I looked inside the wheel hub and saw black grease on the splines, should this be there or should I clean it out. Any ideas??
my 2000 yukon has the traction control light on and the abs light on any anwsers?

speedometer says 85mph but actually going 60mph. now speedometer not registering at all. Just stays below 0mph. Any thoughts?
I just had mine go bad in my 2004 xl.... I called the company and they said if its within 70-80 thousand miles they will assist... Mine has 86000 and they basically said "your screwed!" I have 6 kids and can't afford a 550.00 speedo that shouldnt be a burden on me... With a vehicle as nice as a denali xl it should be taken care of!!!!!!!!! This is rediculous!

2003 GMC YXL DENALI - "Service Ride Control" Error message
- Compressor no longer kicks on at start up for the last few weeks
- Kicked on once a few days ago and then stopped
- Intermittent "Stability Control Disabled" Error while driving
- Rear Suspension NOT sagging
- Checked fuses I thought would affect Autoride - none burnt out assuming I checked the right one.
- Recently replaced water pump that was leaking - was it leaking on any electrical components that could affect the Ride Control?
- Also have an oil drip that does not look like front main seal - is there any oil/hydraulic component to Autoride Shocks?
check youer air shocks for leakes and rear hight sensor

2003 Yukon Denali has Service ride Control Warning..wat to do?
Hi Jose:
The first place to start is to have Ride Control Module scanned for trouble codes, this requires a high end scan tool. Most common problem is the air compressor in the rear or a height sensor. Here is how the system works.
Automatic Level Control Description and Operation
The RTD system is bi-state real time damping system. The Suspension Control module controls the suspension damper solenoids and suspension position sensors, along with parts of the automatic level control (ALC) system and electronic variable orifice (EVO) power steering system.
The Automatic Level Control system consists of the following:
• Suspension Control Module
• Compressor/Leveling Module
- Air Pressure Sensor
- Exhaust Solenoid
• Compressor Motor Relay
The objective of the Automatic Level Control System is to provide constant ride height at all load conditions. The Suspension Control module monitors body-to-wheel height, and vehicle speed.
The Suspension Control module will use the rear body-to-wheel displacements and vehicle speed inputs to keep the rear trim height of the vehicle at its desired level.
The electronic suspension control (ESC) system is bi-state real time damping system. The ESC module controls the suspension damper solenoids and suspension position sensors, along with parts of the automatic level control (ALC) system, if 1500 series.
The ESC system consists of the following:
• The ESC module
• The compressor/leveling module, if 1500 series
- The air pressure sensor, if 1500 series
- The exhaust solenoid, if 1500 series
• The compressor motor relay, if 1500 series
• The steering handwheel speed/position sensor
• The suspension damper solenoids
• The suspension position sensors
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about
this answer.
Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

I changed my oil and when I started my vehicle the oil gauge went to 80 and it stays there while the vehicle is running.
Another gauge needs to be connected to the car to check that oil pressure sensor or the gauge itself is not the problem.
If an independent gauge shows the same readings I would suspect a sticking oil pressure relief valve.

drove 2004 denali to drop kids off (Raining) no sudden stops or sharp turns. the stability system light and (TC) traction contol lights comes on So, I shut off the vehicle for 10-15 min. then I restarted the engine. The TC goes off but the service engine light stayed on but the engine power returned to normal. This is the 3rd time this has happened even when not raining. What is the stability system. A chip?
The stability system is software programmed into the ABS - antilock brake control module also the PCM - engine computer . service engine light DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop or the dealer . You don't have the diagnostic equipment or knowledge to tackle this type of problem .
