Break pedal goes straight to the floor. ABS & Break light is on

the problem is in the brake master cylinder or brake system you have a problem , probably in a leaking line or cylinder and there is probably no oil in the reservoir at all The abs light has been telling you for a year that you have a brake problem but you happily ignored that signal and put yourself and others at risk You will be incapable of fixing this fault yourself so take it to an accredited brake shop specialist and have the job done properly

Gmc jimmy 2000 will crank

does the word security stays flashing after you crank the engine? if it does vehicle has a problem with the passlock 2 system which is a factory installed anti-theft system. when faulty which is too common on those year GM models, vehicle will start and run for 2 or 3 seconds and die out. follow this procedure: 1) locate yellow 20ga. wire running out of steering column which will run along with heavier gauge wires. correct wire will be thin compared to the main ignition wires. 2) cut wire and connect an in line toggle switch and leave in on position. 3) put key in ignition and move forward and leave it that way for approximate 15 min. or until security light goes out. 4) as soon as light goes out vehicle should start. if it does not crank engine again until it starts. 5). when engine starts flip toggle switch to the off position then security light will come on. done. passlock system is bypassed. security light will stay on constant but vehicle will no longer leave you stranded.

How do I replace all five lug nuts on front driver side wheel?

They are pressed in from the backside of the wheel hub that the studs stick out from. And not like needing a heavy press- once you get the old studs driven out (usually works with a hammer or small mallet), you can easily draw the new studs right into a snug fit by using the lug nuts, the new ones you just bought along with the 5 new studs, available at most any parts store. See it's not the lug nuts that are broken, those nuts tighten the tire to the hub by the lug nut studs that the tire fits over. It is the studs themselves that are breaking off. This is common enough that parts stores carry replacements. A chevy dealership might have just your size in stock, if you don't mind paying extra high dealership charges, but it might not be that much for these rather inexpensive items. In a lot of cases, the studs can be removed from the hub as it sits, but there are cases where the hub must be removed from the vehicle for stud replacement. You can eyeball it and pretty much tell if the studs can be removed easily, after you take the wheel (tire) off. For any work on the vehicle, don't rely on the jack. Use blocks or jack-stands always.

MY 1999 GMC JIMMY DO

It could be the thermostat, make sure the air is bled out of system after replacing.if it runs at a normal operating temp, then i would say it is your heater core, also if it has a reostat it could be bad,it is a little circuit board down by your blower motor,it has different thicknesses of wires coming off it like light bulb elements.

The fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail. There is a vacuum hose and a electrical connector on it. Also you'll find a fitting to connect a pressure gauge to it.

I think someone tampered with my 2000 gmc Jimmy to keep me from driving does anyone have a clue to what they think may have been tampered with to keep it from fireing

There are a lot of thing's someone could do to make it not start , but they would need access to under hood or inside your vehicle ! don't you lock your Jimmy ? Does the engine turn over , I mean when you turn the key to the start position does anything happen ? Some people just don't know what I mean when I say this ! Engine cranks no start or no crank -no start ! Are there any lights lit on the instrument cluster , SECURITY ? this will keep it from starting ! Does it have spark at the spark plugs ? Spray some carburetor cleaner into the engine to see if it tries to start ! May be you vehicle won't start because of lack of maintenance ! How many miles does it have on it ? Do you change oil regularly ,spark plugs etc...

How to replace a fuel tank vent valve

Fuel tank venting is handled by the EVAP system, which includes a vent valve (on the cross-member to the rear of the tank), a canister (behind left rear wheel), a purge valve (on the engine), and several hoses. If you are having a problem with this system, start by checking all hose connections and then the vent valve (this valve picks up a lot of road debris and usually fails first). Unless you are actually seeing gas on the ground, a gas smell is often caused by this vent valve sticking open. Another problem can be the canister filling with water/gasoline due to a failed purge valve. And so on.

My 2000 gmc Jimmy will not go into the parking gear also I have to start it in neutral plus no check engine light goes on

Sounds like the neutral switch on the column is bad. It should be inside on the steering column by the floor and is half moon shaped.
